News It’s a Scotland sell-out
It’s good news for Scottish hirers, as we can now report that our Scotland Roadshow is fully booked with excellent exhibitors. Taking place on October 24 at the Marriott Hotel at 500 Argyle Street, Glasgow G3 8RR, we are
delighted to confirm the full roster. Joining us at the event – itself as much a social gathering as an opportunity to bag a brilliant show-only deal – are Snorkel, Fentex Ltd, Husqvarna, Trelawny, MHM Plant, Mace Industries, Legend Brands Europe, Multiquip, Shindaiwa UK, IDE Systems, Belle Engineering, Trime, The Hire Supply Company, Duro Yokota and Prop Pal. That’s wealth of plant and tool hire riches, if ever there was one! Meanwhile, the Executive Hire Show 2024 Juggernaut rolls ever onward, with new and exciting
companies showcasing their wares. The big news is that Takeuchi is returning to the Show after a four-year break. Their attendance augurs especially well, given that the company only ever exhibits when it has something new to talk about – so we can’t wait to see what they’re bringing. Other manufacturers debuting at next year’s show include power providers Xummit; mobile app
and digital tool suppliers Spartan Solutions; Addex Group, which specialises in dust management and air moving products; Chinese company MPMC, whose range includes lighting towers and hybrid power solutions; US and European-made tool aggregators Rollins & Sons; generator behemoths e-Power International and diamond blade experts Abracs. We can also report that EHS 2023 was such a success for power tool providers Golz that the company has massively expanded its stand space for EHS 2024. However, they’re not the only ones to have moved or expanded their space… All of the above and more yet to be announced. All told, it’s already adding up to an event that is not to be missed. Further modesty
notwithstanding, we’ll soon be able to reveal the exhibitor list for our Wales & West roadshow, but that’s quite enough self-promotion for one issue!

High times HirePro Holdings has significantly increased its size and reach,
with the recent acquisition of Upward Powered Access Ltd. The all-share deal, which was brokered by The Hire Exchange, follows the acquisition of Surrey Hire and Sale in 2021 and Liftright Access Ltd in 2022. UPA was founded in 2008 by Paul Johnson, who was later
joined by fellow director Tim Ward. “Tim Ward and I have worked hard to grow UPA from a start-
up to a multi-branch, 500 machine MEWP rental specialist serving an extensive area of Central/Southeast region of England. It’s been hard but enjoyable work and we wish HirePro Holdings Ltd great success as they take the business to the next level,” said Paul Johnson. While recently appointed Managing Director, Matt Fisher
added: “This acquisition strengthens our position within the industry. Whilst still in its infancy, it is one built on reliability, customer service and efficiency. UPA’s extensive geographic reach, amazing reputation and efficient operating model are all crucial attributes upon which we can build.”
