Bag a Bobcat bargain Bobcat has launched a new pre-owned program
called ‘Bobcat Certified’, which is a boon when the supply of new construction machinery is being outpaced by demand. The new scheme has already running in the UK
and Ireland, France and Germany, with Bobcat Certified machines available from Bobcat authorised dealers therein. Further countries will be added throughout 2022. The new program ensures that customers are offered premium class certified used machines in up-to-date condition, with operational and safety checks carried out by Bobcat dealers. Machines have to meet a series of strict criteria to
be eligible. If approved as Certified, they are then updated to Bobcat’s latest quality and safety standards. Each certified machine has proven reliability with Bobcat’s rigorous two-step inspection process, the latest service schedule using genuine Bobcat parts, oil checks, all necessary software upgrades and a 12-month/1000-hour manufacturer’s warranty as standard. Bobcat’s financing solutions are also available on Certified machines.
Price is right Needs must in these tricky times, but Bobcat is answering a genuine
market need. See

down The 'great resignation' remains in full swing, as the last two years of lockdown restrictions has made people consider their life choices. That may or may not be the case for Russell Down, CEO of Speedy Services, but he is nevertheless retiring from the role after seven years. Russell joined Speedy as Finance Director in April
2015, but was made CEO in July the same year. The company has certainly transformed under his stewardship, both in terms of general expansion, its progressive ESG agenda, the sale of Middle Eastern operations, an improved digital presence and, of course, a recent marketing push targeting domestic consumers. Speaking of his imminent departure, he said: “We are
leading the hire market with our digital offering, customer service proposition and ESG strategy, and also have a growing presence in the retail sector. The business is performing well, has a strong balance sheet and is well positioned for future growth. “I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of my
exceptionally talented colleagues, our customers and suppliers for their support and wish them well for the future.”
