The best marketing is word of mouth – we keep ours simple and personal. Most of our guests are recommended. We know that if a past guest has suggested someone, they are usually a good fit. We have tried to build a community that appeals year after year. If people can’t buy a ticket unless they have been invited, it creates a buzz, meaning that tickets to all the events we run are sought-after and, when people get their invitations, they’re quickly snapped up.


ago I was an account executive at a London advertising agency, responsible for my ailing parents who lived 350 miles away. Burning the candle at both ends, I was silently consumed by stress until the inevitable happened: burnout, agoraphobia, crippling anxiety and panic attacks.

“I was introduced to yoga by the NHS, choosing a pilot six-week stress management course over the prescribed Prozac. In that short period I learnt life-changing coping strategies: the importance of movement in releasing tension, deep breathing and meditation. “While books, coaching and learning frameworks have been helpful in my development, yoga is the one underlying constant. It keeps me focused and balanced. It’s helped me to trust my instincts and thrive in even the toughest of times. “After becoming a qualifi ed yoga instructor fi ve years ago, I realised that for a long time I’d inadvertently been bringing yoga into the work I was doing, such as advising a stressed-out CEO to try some breathing exercises. For me, yoga is the strategy that works.”
