Textile and fashion designer opens studio using Epson technology R


Richard Quinn Print Studio, a unique textile printworks offering Epson dye sublimation and traditional screen printing services and workshops.


His new textile print studio based in Peckham, London, features an Epson SureColor SC-F9200 digital dye sublimation printer


complementing two manual screen printing lines. The space gives fashion students and designers an affordable facility where they can source their printed textiles and obtain expert advice about different print techniques, dyes, textiles and alternative materials from Mr Quinn and his expert technicians. In addition, Mr Quinn designs, prints and


sews his own haute-couture pieces in the studio and the facility is also available for other designers to print their own textiles onsite if they wish. He said: “I love the

Nick Atkinson takes the helm at Direct Corporate Clothing

irect Corporate Clothing has promoted Nick Atkinson to commercial and operations director as it targets £50m turnover. In his new role, he will oversee the day-to-day operations of the business. Mr Atkinson joined the DCC board in 2016 as part of the acquisition of The Business Wear Company, which has now successfully merged with DCC. He said: “My focus is on driving profitable growth. I am confident that DCC can become a £50m business. “We have established a high- quality supply chain that designs and manufactures workwear, PPE and corporate wear that is reliable, practical and innovative. This is in addition to excellent customer service as standard from our talented account management team. “My focus now is on enhancing our business offer further to attract new companies to our market-leading services. That process will start with some key appointments over the coming weeks.”

He has the perfect skill-set required to drive our growth strategy.” In December 2016, DCC hired Helen Woodall as head of purchasing to lead a team of 12 people that manages the companyʼs extensive worldwide supply chain.

Since he graduated from Central St Martins, London, last year with his colourful floral collection, Mr Quinn has won the international 2017 H&M Design Award, is one of Dazed Magazineʼs Dazed100 cultural influencers in 2017, and is British Fashion Councilʼs One to Watch in 2017.
