Focus on Health & Beauty

Figures released by Statista in November 2019, reveal that average turnover for hairdressers and beauty salons in 2018 was £4.9 billion, which is a lot of people seeing the uniforms worn by these professionals. Here two leading experts in the field outline why wearing a uniform is important.

Enhance the experience U

niforms have many roles to play and those roles change depending on the environment in which they are being worn.

For beauticians and hairdressers where creating a positive customer experience is paramount, uniforms can help enhance that experience just as the ambience, setting and layout of premises can. Uniforms have a particularly important part to play in reception areas. When customers enter a building be it a beauticians or hairdressers, they need to be able to immediately establish who the members of staff are. Having a uniform that is distinctive and representative of the company’s image, makes staff easily identifiable and approachable, which in turn enables people to quickly connect with the company and begin that positive customer experience.

Disley finds printed blouses like their Catriona style particularly successful in this arena – clean, fresh and distinguishing, staff appear welcoming, receptive and amenable.

Professional and aspirational

L

a Beeby by Behrens has been at the forefront of garment design for the beauty and wellbeing market for many years.

We believe it’s important to wear a uniform that’s as professional and aspirational as the image the beauty professional is trying to portray.

Health and beauty uniforms need to be comfortable and easycare, while being equally as fashionable and elegant. The premium soft touch polyester garments in the La Beeby range combine this perfectly, making them ideal for a wide range of professions in the beauty sector. As well as the traditional locations, our beauty garments are also widely worn in an array of different sectors and locations, including resorts, hotels, offices, cruise ships and clinics, thanks to the wide choice of fabrics, styles and colours. They are also seen as a great alternative to the healthcare tunic in premium environments, where a more tailored fit and elegance may be required. .
