Focus on Wide Format Printing
Ser Tec Two wide format printing solutions
Ser Tec’s solutions for wide format printing includes two direct to garment flatbed printers, Eagle TX 130 XL and Condor 2 TX. Eagle TX 130 XL features a print width of 130cm while the printer height can be between 250 and 500cm based on customer needs.
The printer can be used to print directly on pieces of fabric or on finished garments such as T shirts, sweatshirts, jeans and bags thanks to the custom-made tables. To increase the printer output it’s possible to order the new version with two independent print heads that will guarantee an important increment of speed on both CMYK or CMYK+W colour configurations. Condor 2 TX features a larger width of 160cm with the same length options of Eagle TX 130. As with the Eagle TX 130 XL, on the Condor 2 it’s possible to print tissue or a large variety of finished garments. The printer’s double print heads deliver a very fast print speed with high coverage on both CMYK or CMYK+W configurations.

Both printers are equipped with an open ink system that reduce ink waste with white ink under constant recirculation. Another feature that the printers share is the maximum material thickness of 25cm with laser sensor that allow a great versatility on garments to print. For customers that print on leather is available a different ink instead of the water-based ink used for tissue. Both printers can in fact be ordered with hybrid ink that is specifically created for special substrates such as leather, glass and ceramic.

Hybrid Services New Mimaki textile printer offers flexibility and growth potential for garment decorators
Mimaki’s newly introduced hybrid digital textile printer, the Tx300P-1800 MkII, recently headlined the company’s highly successful online Virtual Print Festival – created in the wake of the postponed FESPA exhibition where it was due to be unveiled. Uniquely designed with versatility at its core, the new printer is designed to deliver both direct to textile and transfer printing, with interchangeable platens and three different ink combinations – providing exceptional flexibility within a single system and offering new opportunities for printers seeking to both diversify and expand. Following in the footsteps of Mimaki’s popular Tx300P-1800 digital textile printer, the evolutionary MkII now adds sublimation transfer printing to its capabilities, opening up an array of potential new materials and applications. The ability to fulfil multiple needs from fashion textiles to display fabrics and sportswear within one system makes the printer an ideal entry to mid-level solution. With its launch, Mimaki is enabling both smaller print service providers and large volume production houses to enjoy the many benefits of digital print technology including more cost-effective short runs and faster turnarounds.
In the current climate, the need for garment decorators to respond rapidly to changing customer requirements comes into ever sharper focus and the ability to switch production from one fabric to another, output any run length and select from a range of inks, empowers businesses to deliver the goods when they’re needed the most. The Tx300P-1800 MkII is available in the UK through Hybrid Services.
