The full and formal planning application for a new four-acre interactive play- themed parkland within ROARR! Dinosaur Adventure’s existing 85-acre park has been submitted to Broadland District Council, for consideration by the planning committee. Working with an award-winning team of consultants including theme park designers Katapult and Liz Lake Landscape architects, the formal plans show the full extent of the expansion which will be delivered in three phases. In phase one, there will be a vertical volcano themed ride, a high play den, teacup rides, two jumping pillows as well as several interactive play concepts plus food and beverage outlets, retail, and a Jurassic-themed entranceway. All have been thoughtfully designed to enhance the sensory family play experience at the park, which is already the most visited paid for attraction in Norfolk and provides an important destination for local season ticket holders as well as tourists and visitors to the area. The rides and play areas will be anchored in a landscape of grassland, trees and planting which has been designed to enhance the biodiversity and ecological management of the area, including moth-rich species-planting to support Barbastelle bats, which have significant roosts within the woodland areas of the site. “This project has been three years in the planning, and we are hugely excited to finally submit the full extent of our ambitious expansion, which is designed to provide gentle and exhilarating play opportunities for children up to the age of ten,” said Adam Goymour.
“We know how valuable parks like ROARR! are for encouraging families to spend precious time together, and that this has a positive and lasting effect on children’s

confidence, development and self-esteem. The park has always provided a backdrop for fun and play, and these new features within this area of the park, are really going to bring an exciting experience to ROARR!’s many fans and visitors.” “We are determined that ROARR! will become a UK-wide destination and these plans highlight our commitment and significant investment in the business as well as Norfolk’s thriving and healthy visitor economy.
