SEGA Amusements International announces Men in Black

SEGA Amusements International has announced a new skill- based video redemption game featuring Men in Black. Based on the iconic Sony Pictures franchise, SEGA introduces this Hollywood blockbuster license to amusement locations for the very first time as a coin-operated arcade game. Men in Black is presented in a new, retro-futuristic cabinet that takes design cues from the film’s iconic MIB headquarters. A huge chrome UFO with lighting hovers above the screen and draws players to the game. The cabinet
also features a “infinity mirror” control panel, “Neuralyzer” prop, reactive LED lighting and dual Tri-Barrel Plasma guns that are straight out of the movies, creating a sensational attraction on location that invites players of all ages. Players take on the roles of Agent N and Agent V to protect our world from evil aliens to win tickets. Those who score over 1000 points will win the ticket “Super Bonus”.

The smart technology allows APT SKIDATA’s clients to use their own smartphone to visually share any technical diffi culties with APT SKIDATA’s support team in real time via a dedicated App. The APT Engineers can then diagnose faults and instigate repairs remotely, maximising equipment uptime and supporting a better visitor experience. The solution is powered by SightCall, an augmented reality (AR)-enabled visual assistance platform.

In SpectraVerse Odyssey attraction, each guest engages with real-time interactive media content as their group travels from scene to scene in a pulsed, walk-through experience. In SpectraVerse Quest attraction, squads roam freely in a competitive or cooperative interactive gaming environment that adapts to each player’s perspective. Both confi gurations are complemented by themed scenic environments, surround sound audio-scapes, lighting, special effects, and other show elements, utilising 3D positional tracking and a real-time game engine to generate dynamic content and perspectives that are specifi c to each individual guest.

LAI Games began shipping 2-player and 3-player versions of Angry Birds Coin Crash, the tower-building coin pusher, in December. The game, which won the AMOA Innovator Award for 2021, is earning fantastic revenues according to operator reports.
The impressive-looking Coin Crash towers are built from the bottom up via a special mechanism that deposits coins in a circle, one layer at a time. Tower heights can reach up to 1200 coins, with multiple towers on the playfield at once, keeping players at the game and inviting new players to line up to play.
