ooted in the history and legacy of Disney’s classic characters, the space features whimsical, hands-on moments that invite
guests to draw, dream, and discover the artistry of animation in a new way. Inspired by beloved Disney films, the collection offers interactive, memorable experiences as guests move through the immersive space.
Families will young children will love exploring the creative world of “Drawn to Wonderland,” and its colorful and immersive indoor playground. Inspired by the original “Alice in Wonderland” concept art from Disney Legend Mary Blair, the space fills the void left when the park’s original play space, the Honey I Shrunk the Kids Playground, closed in 2016. Throughout the attraction, Blair’s signature bold colors and whimsical artistic style inspire creativity and play while also providing a place for families to relax and recharge.
The new “Off the Page!” experience brings guests up close with some of their favorite characters while celebrating the artistry and process behind every animated cel. New
encounters and photo opportunities include meet- and-greets with Mulan, Rapunzel, Donald, Daisy, and more.
Along with photos and play, guests can also learn how to animate favorite characters with everyone’s favorite snowman, Olaf. A delightful, all-new Audio-Animatronic Olaf sits at an animator’s desk and welcomes guests before Disney Animation artists guide them through recorded tips, techniques, and stories from inside the studio. The “Olaf Draws” experience features classes that show guests how to create characters from timeless classics and modern favorites, including Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Genie, Moana, Ursula, and, of course, Olaf himself. The Magic of Animation is also the first time all 64 animated feature films have been represented

at Walt Disney World. Throughout the imaginative, fan-first setting, guests can look carefully placed and curated “Easter eggs” and hidden references. For example, in the studio’s playful Lost and Found Department, eagle-eyed guests will spot recognizable items like the Map Sphere from Treasure Planet, Eeyore’s tail, a vase depicting Hercules’ fight against the Hydra, and the Sundrop Flower from Disney Animation’s Tangled. As they wander through the new attraction, guests will also discover an enchanted art gallery filled with artwork inspired by Disney Animation’s storytelling legacy. In addition, Disney’s talented team is honored in the space through a meaningful, personal tribute to the artists - each paintbrush hanging from the colorful chandelier is individually named by members of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Ink and Paint Department.
Located under the iconic Sorcerer Hat, the vibrant, story-driven Magic of Disney Animation opened at Disney’s Hollywood Studios on September 14.
