Another New York City original is “Sloomoo

Institute,” which I am proud to say is being managed by one of our Montclair State University graduates. “Sloomoo” originally started as a pop- up store temporary attraction. It is appropriate to say that the Moo is not spreading slowly beyond its original NYC location, as there are already 9 locations, with more on the way. This attraction is amazingly rooted in the famous Slime from Nickelodeon fame. It provides an endless array of slime-related activities. The admission price is quite impressive, but beyond that, there is an add-

on opportunity priced at about $30 that puts you in a full protective suit and pours tons of slime on your head. Interestingly, this attraction is attracting many different age groups. It was reported that even construction workers sometimes come in to relieve stress! We have begun extensively studying what makes

these attractions successful. A few of the factors identified have been discussed in this section of the article. Stay tuned in “Parkworld” for more of these types of analysis down the road. 4. For the final foray in this writing, I want

to call the readers' attention to EXPO 2027 in Belgrade, Serbia. This is a must-see visit for everyone in the attractions industry at EXPO 2027, since the theme of the EXPO is “Play for Humanity: Sports and Music for All”. The plans, from what we’ve seen, will get anyone's creative juices flowing! For those of you who are not familiar with EXPO’s which are sometimes called “World’s Fair’s” these are held approximately every three years. On the five-year cycle, such as EXPO 2025 last summer in Osaka, these are major EXPOs usually centered on a broader theme, in

50

which most participating nations build their own pavilions. Usually, in the 2nd, 3rd, 7th, or 8th year of each decade, a smaller EXPO is held with a more defined theme. Smaller EXPOs usually keep many of the buildings built for future use. For example, most of the buildings from the EXPO’s in Knoxville, TN. And New Orleans, LA were repurposed into a convention center. There are a lot of exciting things planned for EXPO 2027, and you can find a lot of details on the EXPO 2027 website. If you are planning to go, a reminder that the minor EXPO only runs for about 3 months (majors are 6 months), from May 15 to August 15.
