to find clues that will help rescue a professor in Mask of the Pharaoh or put their trust to the test in The Snitch. We also have several VR experiences for anyone aged 12 and above. Players can travel to virtual space in Mission Planet X, explore a haunted house escape room in Don’t Scream, take on another team in our esports-inspired VR battle arena in Nanoclash Focus, protect a peaceful village from a zombie invasion in The Hallow or retrieve valuable artwork from a bank heist in our latest experience, The Break-in. For Nanoclash Focus, we also have the flexibility to tailor the

length of gameplay to suit the users’ needs and level of experience. Our operators can set the number of rounds and the session duration or adjust this live. For example, for VR enthusiasts who might be looking for a more intense gaming experience, the hosts can adjust the experience to have longer rounds. Similarly, those who are only just being introduced to VR can opt for a shorter time frame with more rounds.

PW: What makes for a good VR experience - and how do you ensure guests get this? PV: Multiple factors can affect how good a VR experience is - the quality of the graphics, the level of interactivity, how engaging the content is and whether or not it causes motion sickness are just a few examples. Of course, the level of the user’s experience will determine how much or little these factors impact them. We believe that the power to create a great VR experience lies in

the social interaction. Most VR experiences available on the market are predefined and are only single-player. Having multiplayer experiences, such as NanoClash Focus, offers full integration and collaboration among groups, meaning players are more than just spectators. It’s also essential to have a great content library that can attract and engage people of all ages and with any interest. Having a variety of original experiences is key to ensuring that anyone who visits our venues leaves having had a memorable experience. To ensure guests get the best possible VR experience while playing,

we’ve optimised core elements like the quality and interactivity. The Park Playground brings virtual worlds to life with high-resolution textures and intricate details. These high-quality graphics are taken to the next level with HTC VIVE’s Focus 3 wireless headsets that feature 5K visuals, a 120-degree field of view . This means users can really engage, interact and move through the environments they are transported into with much more freedom. We’re developing new ways that users can interact and explore these worlds too. For example, in our newest experience, The Break-in we’ve integrated new ways for teams to communicate in-game for an added challenge as well as delivering exciting new perspectives of the virtual world - users experience cinematic slow-motion moments and can scale the outside of a building rather than just moving through the interior. While good VR is partly down to delivering high-quality graphics

and engaging experiences, it is also down to finding solutions to physical factors that can impact guests too. Many people claim that VR makes them sick. This happens when there is latency between
