Park Worlds sits down with Peter Vindevogel, CEO at The Park
Park World: Tell us a bit about The Park Playground - what was the vision for the company when it was founded? Peter Vindevogel: The idea for The Park Playground first came about when discussing the exciting possibilities of the future of entertainment and what that would look like in different domains. We launched the company in 2018 with the vision
of creating immersive experiences that are social, interactive and inclusive for all groups and all ages, including families, no matter what age, interests or level of experience they have. Our goal to create social connections and interactions between people through entertainment continues to drive us as a company today.
PW: What can guests expect when they visit The Park? PV: The Park Playground is focused on making the entire visit a memorable experience, from the moment they walk through the door to the moment they leave. Guests will be greeted by a host when they arrive, who will introduce them to VR and talk them through the rules

of their chosen experience. The host will then fit each guest with HTC VIVE Focus 3 wireless headsets, and from here, they are ready to begin their free-roam VR experience. Users can choose to attend our experiences as part of a public booking, where you might be joining a group of like-minded users with various experiences, or as part of a private booking. We also pride ourselves on offering more than just the game; our
venues are equipped with social areas, and guests can opt to make the most of our bar, catering services, and meeting rooms during their visit. While the main reason for their visit is the VR experience, we create an engaging social environment so our guests can enjoy both pre- and post-gameplay. Our visitor statistics show that globally 47% of our visitors are
women, and the average age of our visitors is 31 years old, so it’s clear that our venues and virtual reality experiences cater well to different ages and groups of people.
PW: Tell us more about the range of virtual adventures guests can embark on - and are there any which have proven particularly popular? PV: The Park Playground has a diverse library of original IPs, so there is something to suit everyone’s age and interests. For example, younger audiences and families can virtually travel to ancient Egypt
