Tokyo DisneySea unveils Fantasy Springs
A
head of the 6 June opening of Tokyo DisneySea’s Fantasy Springs, details have been revealed as to what to expect from
the park’s eighth themed land. Guests can expect to enter an archway on
their arrival, decorated with magical springs that represent characters such as Peter Pan, Rapunzel, Anna and Elsa, before exploring areas inspired by the Disney adaptations featuring these famous characters - Peter Pan, Tangled and Frozen. Frozen Kingdom is home to Anna and Elsa’s Frozen
Journey boat ride, as well as the Royal Banquet of Arendelle restaurant, and Oaken’s OK Foods. On Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey, guests
experience a tale of two sisters. The adventure begins as Grand Pabbie, the leader of the trolls, tells Anna and Elsa’s story. After this, guests embark on a trip through the
sisters’ memories, accompanied by popular songs from Frozen, including Do You Want to Build a Snowman, For the First Time in Forever, and Love Is an Open Door. Next, guests hear Let It Go as Elsa creates an
ice palace using her magical powers, before Anna is turned to ice in a bid to save Elsa from Hans.
Royal Banquet of Arendelle is an immersive
restaurant located inside the area’s Arendelle Castle, while Oaken’s OK Foods is run by Oaken and serves Scandinavian-style snacks. Meanwhile, in the Tangled-themed area, guests
will enjoy the Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival boat ride, as well as the Snuggly Duckling restaurant. Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival immerses guests in
a romantic gondola experience. Riders first travel towards the tower where Rapunzel lives, where they see her singing When Will My Life Begin. During the ride, Rapunzel escapes from the
tower with Flynn Rider and the duo visit various locations from the film, before singing I See the Light as lanterns fill the night sky. Inspired by the tavern visited by the ruffians in
the film, the Snuggly Duckling restaurant is offering dishes including a dessert served in a frying pan- shaped dish – another nod to the film. Peter Pan’s Never Land is home to attractions
named Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure and Fairy Tinker Bell’s Busy Buggies, as well as the Lookout Cookout restaurant. During Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure, guests accompany Peter Pan, Tinker Bell and the Lost Boys
on an epic adventure through Never Land to rescue John from Captain Hook and his band of pirates. Guests enjoy this ride on boats, which can soar
into the sky thanks to fairy dust sprinkled by Tinker Bell. They meet Wendy, Michael, the mermaids and other characters from the film. On Fairy Tinker Bell’s Busy Buggies in the Pixie
Hollow fairy valley, guests board vehicles made by Tinker Bell and are shrunk down to the size of a fairy. The Lookout Cookout restaurant is a hideout
created by the Lost Boys from elements of a shipwreck. Inside, guests see items used by the Lost Boys, like pyjamas and hammocks. Peter Pan’s Never Land also contains a popcorn wagon. The new land will also include a themed hotel
comprising two buildings – Fantasy Chateau for deluxe rooms, and Grand Chateau for luxury accommodation. The former offers 419 rooms, and the latter has 56 rooms, all with a terrace with a view of the park. The hotel’s Fantasy Springs Restaurant is themed
to Disney films such as Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Tangled and Sleeping Beauty. Guests can also enjoy F&B at the Grand Paradis Lounge and La Libellule.
