Receiving the award was a surprise but also a very proud moment. It’s great to know others see value in what we have achieved so far and in what we aspire to achieve in the future at Homewood. I am really passionate about the impact truly inclusive practice and high quality SEND, as a whole school responsibility, can have in mainstream settings. Winning this award is very much a reflection of the wonderful Learning Support Team we have established at Homewood - inclusion at Homewood is very much a team effort. We could not have developed our provision and practice to the extent that we have without such a great team. I am also very grateful for the support which other senior leaders in school provide for our relentless drive to improve the outcomes for our students with additional needs.
