8 BESA CORNER Dear Reader,
Welcome to the latest issue of Education Today. With the General Election campaign now in full swing, the main parties are beginning to set out their visions for education. Education is always an important part of the manifesto, and I’ll be very interested to see how each party proposes to tackle the various and well-known challenges facing our schools these days. Funding is a key plank of education policy, and with that in mind, we focus this month on maintaining your school estate, with helpful ideas from a selection of suppliers on the best way to keep your schools in good shape and looking great. We also look at the benefits of getting children out of the classroom and into the great outdoors, with all the positives that flow from giving your pupils a bit of fresh air. We have our regular contributors as always, and a great line up of comment and opinion to get you talking. We continue our section on recruitment with some great jobs for you this month and have now launched our recruitment section on our website, so if you’re looking for a new role, or wish to advertise a vacancy, do make sure you get in touch.
Remember, you can get in touch with us via Twitter @EdTodayMag, Facebook and our homepage, as well as by phone or email. We love hearing from you!
