GOODBYE 2019...

Araminta Hannah Director, Ghostfoundry

What was the most exciting occurrence for you in 2019?

Joining ghostfoundry full time in November. I have been working part-time on the business since co-founding it with my husband Martyn in 2017. The business has grown nicely over the past two years in line with the rising importance of content marketing. As such, the time was right for me to come onboard full-time as we look to grow our service offering and add more clients to our portfolio of partners now and into 2020.

What are you most excited about for yourselves in 2020?

Combining my experience as a digital marketer and SEO specialist with the content writing skills of Martyn and our team of writers. Content is now the absolute foundation of any SEO strategy and we believe ghostfoundry has the best team when it comes to helping businesses leverage the power of content to drive their business goals via SEO and digital marketing. We are also going to ramp up our own content

efforts and will be posting super informative articles and guides to the ghostfoundry blog on a regular basis. We want to educate businesses about content marketing, what it is, how it works and how they can create their own strategies and content.

What are you looking predicting for the iGaming sector in 2020?

It’s going to be a challenging year for the wider online gambling sector but particularly for those in highly-regulated markets such as the UK. Competition is increasing, compliance is causing headaches and consumers have plenty of choice when it comes to where they spend their entertainment hours and cash. But these challenges can be overcome so long as operators and developers offer an unrivalled user experience that delivers tremendous value and fun. 2020 looks set to be a very interesting year for the entire industry and I - along with the rest of the ghostfoundry team - hope it is a successful one for all.

Phillip Runyan Hold Gaming founder and CEO

What was the most important occurrence for you in 2019?

In 2018 I sat on a ‘Hype or Real’ panel at Casual Connect Anaheim which focused on where the games industry was going - most notably, crypto, blockchain gaming, repealing PASPA, and whether DraftKings will ever see profitability. I can’t recall all my predictions but I’m fairly certain I’m batting +.500 - I know I got the Crypto prediction (it tanked) and PASPA repeal correct. Also to note, Casual Connect is a gaming conference and not a subsection on Craigslist. Lastly, Disney is a weird place to have a games conference. 2019 was our launch year, so pinpointing a single moment would be tough - I’d say getting the email from Apple that our game was approved and awaiting developer release. In that one moment, Blackjack Fire went from being a good idea to a real business.

What are you most excited about for yourselves in 2020?

If 2019 was any indicator of what next year brings, 2020 should bring a healthy balance of wins and challenges. We are most excited about launching spin-based content. It rules the casino floor and social gaming so we know it should do gang busters for players looking to win cash prizes.

What are you looking predicting for the iGaming sector in 2020?

For 2020, Fingers crossed that the sportsbook hysteria continues to bring more mobile access. As that sector continues to grow and expand how and where you can wager, iGaming will follow on their heels and pave the way for companies like Hold Gaming to offer our skill players true iGaming action.
