os encontramos participando en GAT México 2025, donde existe un gran entusiasmo por parte de operadores y reguladores latinoamericanos para ver el desarrollo regulado de la industria del juego en el país, donde más de 300 participantes, durante seis horas continuas, atendieron conferencias, presentaciones y conversatorios a cargo de autoridades, directivos gremiales, juristas, empresarios y líderes globales y locales. ¡Golazo!
Aparte de las buenas nuevas sobre el juego online en Chile, reportado líneas abajo, a fines de agosto, el Consejo Resolutivo (CR) de la Superintendencia de Casinos de Juego (SCJ) autorizó la solicitud de renuncia del permiso de operación presentada por la sociedad Casino de Viña del Mar, propiedad del grupo de casinos Enjoy S.A., conforme con lo establecido en el inciso 4 del artículo 46 bis, del Decreto Supremo N°1722, de 2015, del Ministerio de Hacienda. Anteriormente, a inicios de agosto, el mismo organismo autorizó las solicitudes de renuncia de los permisos de operación presentadas por las sociedades operadoras Casino de la Bahía S.A. (Coquimbo) y Casino del Lago (Pucón), ambas también parte de Enjoy. Como se ha venido reportando, los gobiernos de Perú, Colombia, y Brasil han venido imponiendo o tratando de imponer mas impuestos como sea tanto a operadores como al público apostador, y como reportamos líneas abajo, Uruguay se ha subido al coche para castigar a este público, también.
En la evento mexicano, expertos ex reguladores, reguladores y gente de la industria coincidieron, no solamente en que tales impuestos son faltos de criterio, sino más ominosamente, que parte de ese público apostador busca refugio en los canales ilegales de apuestas,
verdaderamente mermando los ingresos tributarios para el Estado. El 25 de septiembre tenemos el GAT Showcase Bogotá en la bella Colombia, y un par de semanas mas tarde volamos hacia Las Vegas para el G2E de este año. ¡Allá nos vemos!

ight now, we are taking part in GAT Mexico 2025, where there is great enthusiasm on the part of Latin American operators and regulators to see the regulated development of the gaming industry in the country, More than 300 participants, for six continuous hours, attended conferences, presentations and discussions by authorities, union leaders, jurists, businessmen and global and local leaders. Golazo! Apart from the good news about online gambling in Chile, reported below, at the end of August the Resolutive Council (CR) of the Superintendence of Gaming Casinos (SCJ) authorized a request to end the operating permit presented by Casino de Viña del Mar, owned by the casino group Enjoy S.A., in accordance Ministry of Finance provisions set in paragraph 4 of article 46 bis, of Supreme Decree No. 1722, of 2015. Previously, at the beginning of August, CR also followed similar process for casino operating permits submitted by the operating companies of Casino de la Bahía S.A. (Coquimbo) and Casino del Lago (Pucón), both also part of Enjoy.
As we have been reporting, the governments of Peru, Colombia, and Brazil have been imposing, or trying to impose, additional taxation on both operators and the betting public, and as we report below, Uruguay has jumped on the bandwagon to punish the public, too.
At the Mexican event, experts, former regulators, regulators and people from the industry agreed that not only are the imposition of such taxes lacking in criteria, but more ominously that part of that betting public seeks refuge in illegal betting channels, in this way effectively
