We’ve kept it simple this issue, to put it bluntly. We had an article that was so interesting, we let it run over five pages. Yes, really. It’s about the PASPA repeal in the US and the potential minefield that exists in a legal sense for operators and suppliers in sports betting. Give it a read, you won’t regret it. Anyway, what’s going on with you? It’s been a whole month. I bet you’ve been to a couple of iGaming events – one at least – and you’re feeling like life is almost back to normal… Except if you’re in Europe you can’t get across for G2E, which I think might be relatively quiet this year with few or no European attendees. Not saying we’re the noisiest, but we are.

Industry news to keep an eye on, that MGM-Entain JV has the potential to become a real soap opera of sorts, with the word on the street that MGM are looking to gain seats on the board to gain greater control without spending any money, and potentially even take the project public. This could be genuinely fascinating, particularly if the $22bn DraftKings bid is accepted by Entain’s shareholders. Watch this space, as lazy writers everywhere say.
