reentube is a provider of online and mobile gaming, providing solutions for safe and secure casino entertainment using ESG Initiatives. The company has been a partner of the NOVOMATIC group since 2010 and features an extensive portfolio of classic slots, table games and social casino gaming.
When discussing sustainability, the company aims to go beyond regulatory sustainability compliances. Barbara Zemann explains, “Greentube’s commitment to sustainability is not just about about ticking regulatory boxes, but is also a strategic move to attract investors, appeal to socially conscious job applicants and retain a loyal customer base.”
Ensuring a safe and inclusive work environment is a priority for Greentube. The company has a core focus on social responsibility, striving to go further by promoting well-being for its workforce and the wider communities. Especially in the gambling industry, addiction and irresponsible players are key issues, so Greentube provides learning and

development programs to foster personal and professional growth. Barbara adds, “Advanced tools and measures are in place to prevent problem gambling, ensuring gaming remains a safe and enjoyable activity. This proactive stance helps build healthy customer relationships, encouraging long-term engagement over short-term gains.” Greentube’s ethical governance approach is “the bedrock of sustainability.” Financial performance and regulatory compliance are also important, but Barbara claims that “our governance framework addresses so much more, it also establishes an ethical and moral compass guiding our operations. This includes preventing money laundering and ensuring transparency in all dealings. More importantly, it involves a proactive approach to embedding sustainability throughout the company.” She continues to say that avoiding greenwashing is crucial, and focusing on initiatives with real material impacts rather than superficial actions can help strengthen trust and loyalty with customers.
For an online-based industry, iGaming does not have as many heavy manufacturing sectors as other industries. However, Greentube reveals that “a deeper look
reveals that significant footprints exist, particularly in energy consumption from server infrastructures, business travel, and employee commuting.”
Barbara continues, “First and foremost, we emphasise reducing carbon emission. This begins with data centres, choosing the ones with cutting-edge cooling technologies powered by renewable energy sources.” According to Greentube, optimising energy use can significantly reduce carbon footprint, and the company uses robust remote work policies to promote the reduction. This allows Greentube to drastically reduce emissions created by commuting, which Barbara describes as a “vital step in our sustainability journey.” Social and environmental aspects in supply chains are also something to consider when discussing sustainability, as well as ensuring companies take innovative approaches in their sustainability journey. Greentube ensures its efforts are comprehensive and impactful by holding suppliers to high standards. “Innovation is at the heart of our sustainability strategy,” says Barbara, who believes that AI is a useful tool to monitor player’s healthy gaming habits. According to Greentube, artificial intelligence can also enhance responsible gambling practices and improve processes around the company. With real professionals working with AI tools, the “Human Touch” provides personalised support and can appear more trustworthy for players.
Sustainability is an ongoing journey in the industry, and Greentube aims to evolve every aspect of its business, using comprehensive approaches to expand on the principles of ESG. Barbara concludes these initiatives, saying “Sustainability and business go hand in hand. As we continue to innovate and lead, we want to inspire others in the industry to follow.” Greentube also stresses that sustainability must not be perceived as just a buzzword, but it must become a necessity in the industry.
