Una semana antes en Lima, el PGS 2024 tuco auges de gran show con una concurrencia superlativa tanto en la feria como en las conferencias, donde el Ing. Yuri Guerra fue Keynote Speaker con una magistral presentación sobre “El estado actual del mercado peruano, un mercado peruano y totalmente regulado”, exponiendo no solamente los logros de la institución en más de 16 años desde el ordenamiento de los juegos de azar en el país, sino también el compromiso de esta con los inversores, operadores y sociedad, mediante responsables gestiones regulatorias. Días después, Yuri Guerra fue confirmado como Titular de la Dirección General de Juegos de Casino y Máquinas Tragamonedas (DGJCMT) de Perú, mediante la Resolución Ministerial N 174-2024-MINCETUR.
Brasil sigue su avance con las apuestas deportivas y el juego online, y el pasado 11 de junio, el gobernador Tarciso de Freitas publicó en el Boletín Oficial del Estado de São Paulo, el Decreto 68.596/2024, la licitación para la concesión de la prestación de servicios de lotería pública en el Estado. Una semana antes, la directora presidenta de Caixa Loterias, Lucíola Aor Vasconcelos, destacó el papel fundamental de la empresa en la promoción del desarrollo
comunitario en todo Brasil, donde destina 50% de los ingresos por juegos y sorteos para programas sociales, y el interés de la Caixa en participar también, en el mercado de las apuestas deportivas y el juego online.

or years we have been waiting to announce changes in Brazilian legislation that will end the whimsical 1947 law banning casinos in the country, by order of a president following the religious sanctimony of his wife. Now it gives me great pleasure to publish a press release, courtesy of the Brazilian Senate, that bill PL 2234/22, approved by the House of Representatives in 2022 for the operation of gambling casinos in for debating in the Plenary and eventual presidential sanction. Congratulations!
A week earlier in Lima, PGS 2024 was indeed a really great show with superlative attendance both at the gaming expo and conferences. Yuri Guerra was Keynote Speaker with a masterful presentation on “The current state of the Peruvian (Gaming) market, a Peruvian and fully regulated market”, relating to not only the achievements by the local gaming regulator over the last 16 years, in a process that put order into gambling operations in the country, but also expressing its full commitment and support to investors, operators and Peruvian society through responsible regulatory management.
