IGB LIVE
edict eGaming in 2024
Dominic-Daniel Liénard, CEO of edict eGaming, spoke to Rory Kuypers at Gaming International Online about a year of success and its plans heading into iGB LIVE and beyond.
Rory Kuypers: What is new with edict eGaming this year? Dominic-Daniel Liénard: Since our last appearance at iGB, we have significantly expanded our portfolio on the edict aggregator solution by incorporating several new game providers. Our offering now extends well beyond the renowned Merkur slots, enriching the online gaming experience. Booming Games and Hölle Games have leveraged our robust infrastructure and direct integrations with global online operators to deliver their games to players worldwide. Additionally, we have numerous exciting projects and other providers in the pipeline, poised to join our portfolio shortly.
RK: How are you feeling about the final iGB LIVE event in Amsterdam, before the relocation to London in 2025? DDL: Surprisingly to us, this will be the final iGB LIVE event in Amsterdam. Over the years, it has become a cherished tradition to travel to Amsterdam each July, where we can reconnect with our esteemed colleagues and partners from the industry. Despite this change, we are eagerly anticipating the new edition of the event next year, confident that it will continue to foster the same spirit of collaboration and camaraderie.
RK: What can we expect from edict for the rest of 2024? DDL: We are pleased to announce that we have successfully obtained licenses for Ontario for both our Malta and Hamburg entities. Additionally, we are in the process of applying for a license in Greece. With ISO 27001 certification in place, our games are ready for launch in Switzerland, and we anticipate going live there soon. Moreover, we are closely monitoring developments in Peru and Brazil. Our commitment to regulated markets remains steadfast, and we are proud to have a seasoned team that has demonstrated its capability during the liberalisation wave in Europe. We have consistently shown our ability to adapt swiftly to any regulatory environment, and we embrace the challenges presented by new international markets.

RK: You mention monitoring new international markets, where have you already shown presence and what is on the horizon for edict? DDL: As the legalisation of online gambling continues to expand across various markets, we are committed to establishing a strong presence both in Europe and internationally. Recently, we proudly exhibited at ICE in London, the GAT Expo in Cartagena and the Peru Gaming Show in Lima, where we have had the opportunity to connect with key stakeholders and showcase our innovative solutions.
We are particularly excited about our upcoming participation in the SBC Summit in Lisbon this September, marking our debut at this prestigious event. This will provide us with a valuable platform to engage with industry leaders, explore new partnerships, and stay abreast of the latest trends and developments in the online gambling sector. In addition to these established events, we are actively exploring other opportunities to expand our reach. Mexico and Brazil are especially intriguing markets for us, given their potential for growth and the evolving regulatory landscapes. We are diligently evaluating which industry events in these regions might be worthwhile to attend, ensuring that we maximise our presence and impact.
Our goal is to remain at the forefront of the industry by continuously seeking out new markets and opportunities. We are dedicated to leveraging our expertise and experience to navigate the complexities of different regulatory environments, and we look forward to the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
