Promising growth at PST W

hile it would be true to say 2020 was a challenging year for the gaming industry in general, it was also a year in which diversification was

witnessed as new socially distancing ranges were rapidly designed and manufactured. Such innovative new concepts resulted in dramatic expansion of the PST range as the company immediately responded to customer needs. However, while such adaptation bears

testament to PST’s enterprising spirit, its dedicated team continued to evolve its core range, designing and manufacturing bespoke furniture for customers. One exciting new project was recently announced by PST when it revealed further collaboration with Virgin Cruises on the launch of its second ship, Valiant Lady. The announcement follows on from the

success PST enjoyed providing furniture to Virgin’s inaugural ship, Scarlet Lady and the team is proud to be afforded a second opportunity to partner with Virgin Cruises. Revealing the attention to detail required,

PST’s Kris Bannon explained: “Designing for cruise ships is unique with an entirely new set of parameters and considerations to take into account, PST has to ensure every detail is precise.” Initially providing furniture for just the

casino aboard Scarlet Lady, this time bespoke ranges have been designed for throughout the ship including restaurants, night club and gaming floor. Virgin’s intention is to provide guests with “spaces that transform to a given mood”, a brief which PST has embraced from concept through to manufacturing and production. While many operators have taken the

opportunity to renovate locations which have been forced to close these past few months, PST has completed various refurbishing orders. In addition, the company is witnessing promising growth in the gaming sector with orders placed for new locations due to open in the next few weeks, remaining unaffected. “Uncertainty continues to surround how the industry will emerge and develop this year, however it’s really positive to see confidence in the opening of the new sites which we have provided furniture for,” added Kris.

36 APRIL 2021 PST is also investing in

corporate expansion and is strengthening its sales team announcing the appointment of Ian Kovacs. Well known in the gaming industry courtesy of his 25 years experience, Ian is

excited to be joining the PST team. Commenting on his appointment, Ian said:

“It’s great to be joining a company of such heritage. PST has been designing and manufacturing for more than 50 years, that’s a real achievement. “Throughout the years I’ve been afforded

opportunities to travel extensively and this experience has contributed to a holistic understanding of the gaming industry in which furniture and its design plays an important part. “It’s exciting to be working with such an

innovative team and I look forward to developing the PST brand,” he added.
