Uform has continued to grow its UK Sales Team through the recent appointment of two new Area Sales Managers. Kelly Mitchell joins as Area Sales Manager for South Central England and
has a wealth of experience within construction industry including working on prestigious sites such as 20 Fenchurch Street in the heart of London’s financial district, Heathrow Terminal 2 and the leading biomedical research centre, the Francis Crick Institute. More recently, Kelly was employed as a Key Account Manager by Diversey, a global cleaning chemical manufacturer. Julie Sturges also joins the UK Sales Team as Area Sales Manager for the
East Anglia area having previously worked as an Area Account Manager for one of UK’s fastest growing independent office suppliers, Northampton based Bluefish Office Products Ltd. Julie’s brings years of experience in developing new business opportunities, in addition to selling a diverse range of product lines. Before her experience in office products, Julie also worked in the fashion watch and jewellery industry with various roles in sales, visual merchandising and training.

Design influences and trend panel announced for BMA Conference

he Bathroom Manufacturers Association has added a design influences and trends panel to the agenda for the
2019 Bathroom & Kitchen Business Conference, which takes place on 8th October at the Carden Park Hotel, Cheshire. The panel will be
led by guest speaker Cate Trotter, head of trends at Inside Trends and will include Lindsay Blair, editor of Kitchens Bedrooms & Bathrooms magazine; Hayley Robson, creative director of Day True and Marianne Shillingford, creative director of Akzonobel Dulux for the UK and Ireland. BMA CEO Yvonne
IDS celebrates 20 years with 200 employees, customers and suppliers
IDS has celebrated 20 years of business as a specialist surface materials distributor with a lavish event, attended by over 200 guests including employees from across its 18 branches, as well as customers and suppliers. Held at The Monastery
in Manchester, guests were treated to an evening of food and entertainment, headlined by X Factor winner, Sam Bailey, as well as opera singers John Pierce and Emily Haig, and girl group Absolute Divas. During the event, IDS held a charity auction which raised over £4,000 for children's charity Barnardo's and Destination Florida, who help provide holidays for children facing life-threatening illnesses. Says John Bagshaw, Managing Director, "It has been a privilege to celebrate
20 years of business with so many valued IDS employees, customers and suppliers who have shared the journey with us. We hope this celebration expressed our appreciation to everyone who has helped shape IDS into the business it is today, and we look forward to what the years ahead have in store."
IDS is the UK's largest surface materials distributor specialising in worksurfaces, flooring, panelling, solid surface, panel products and high pressure laminates. Led by John Bagshaw as MD for 20 years, the company has doubled its turnover to £130m today.
