Demand for freestanding baths growing steadily for Utopia C

urrently going from strength to strength, freestanding baths are now

an option for more households as they become increasingly accessible and affordable. Utopia reports positive sales of their two freestanding baths, the Sensuelle and the Dualelle. Marketing Manager Nicola Hardwick attributes

this partly to the fact that the popularity of wall mounted furniture has increased dramatically in recent years, prompting a corresponding increase in sales of freestanding baths. Also, and perhaps more importantly, as the material used for freestanding baths moves from traditional cast iron to rigid acrylic, these beautiful feature baths have become an option for the middle market. And, due to the lighter weight of a rigid acrylic bath, there’s no need to strengthen a floor to accommodate the extra weight of a cast iron bath. The entire Utopia range of baths features

Resinite technology, a triple layer reinforcement process with a 5mm ICI acrylic top coat. The resulting baths benefit from extra strength, rigidity and durability plus enhanced heat retention properties. Such is Utopia’s confidence in the range of baths, a 30 year guarantee is offered. Along with the superior quality of the baths,

Utopia offers another very strong selling point – the two freestanding baths can be precisely colour- matched with key furniture ranges for a completely co-ordinated look. In addition to gleaming white, the Dualelle and

Sensuelle are offered in an extensive choice of nine painted finishes to co-ordinate with bathroom

drawerline concept that not only runs seamlessly wall to wall but also floor to ceiling. Choosing from a palette of just four carefully selected door finishes and three beautiful metallic trims, it is possible to create an amazing number of combinations. The ultimate in seamless elegance, the ‘all in one’

furniture. The colours include three lustrous metallic effects, Copper, Indigo and Nickel, specifically to complement the latest wall mounted furniture ranges which have metallic accent features. The current best-selling finishes for the freestanding baths is Peacock Blue.

‘All in One’ Coralux worktop and basin Utopia’s latest basin design is part of the new Contemporary Fitted range, the elegant, handleless

Coralux solid surface worktop and basin, is made to order and designed to fit any size between 650mm and 1850mm. With its stunning fluid lines and tactile beauty, this combined worktop and basin solution in luxurious solid surface can either be fitted wall to wall or supplied with finished ends for a freestanding effect. A third basin option is to choose 22mm laminate

or solid surface worktops from the extensive range and team with either a Quantum Round or Quantum Square semi-recessed ceramic basin.
