INDUSTRY VIEWS Innovate to Elevate Your Business

The events of the last 18 months have challenged the Kbb industry beyond anyone’s expectations, Covid has undoubtedly disrupted nearly every aspect of life, from the personal to the professional, how customers choose and purchase products and services, even down to how supply chains deliver them. What it has emphasised tenfold is the necessity to adopt and support innovative-led growth more in the short-term to secure a company’s ability to successfully grow in the years ahead. This spans right across an organisation, from product innovation to remain ahead of current market trends, process innovation including improved production techniques and even creating new digital tools to address changes in consumer buying behaviours as a result of accelerated digital disruption. Businesses need to embrace the post Covid world and unlock opportunities the pandemic has presented. Playing it safe may be a short-sighted decision right now.

Being a British manufacturer and supplier post Brexit – benefits of buying British

Life since the onset of Covid has not been easy for anyone in our industry, especially when combined with the disruption of Brexit in January this year. There has been a shift in mindset I think. The whole “buy local” campaign has been widely adopted and I suppose there is an argument that where possible we should buy from the UK? I’m not sure if I can ever envisage a campaign which pushes “Buy National” but you can see where I am going with this?

When you are

investing considerable time and finances into a new kitchen you should absolutely be able to buy whomever you want to buy it from and if that kitchen is available from a UK manufacturer and you love it just as much perhaps consumers should be thinking more nationally than internationally?

Make a statement

Appliances are much more than everyday necessities and are an important part of the overall design of a kitchen. Consumers can make a statement in the kitchen by installing one or two outstanding appliances that create a focal point in the room. Four door fridge freezers are growing in popularity due to the

increased need for space to store fresh food. As well as providing a big capacity and flexible storage, American-style fridge freezers are also a great choice for consumers looking to make a statement in the kitchen. These eye-catching appliances have a huge presence in the room, whilst providing the technology consumers need to prevent food waste. Cooker hoods

can also create a focal point. Incorporating an island into the kitchen remains a big trend in the UK, both in new- build homes and kitchen redesigns. Installing a chimney-style cooker hood above an island brings professional glamour into the room and makes a striking statement.
