eading SDA brand Morphy Richards has added an innovative food steamer
to its suite of food preparation appliances. The new and improved Intellisteam steamer
has been launched by Morphy Richards to simplify steam cooking for the consumer. Described as ‘no ordinary steamer’, the Intellisteam features three separate compartments and an intelligent timer to synchronize the steaming process of separate ingredients, delivering a complete healthy meal in one pot, with all ingredients ready at the same time. Eliminating the need for multiple cooking processes, the standalone Intellisteam’s intelligent, multi-programmable timer and three cooking compartments, to allow the user to prepare a fully balanced meal in one appliance. The clever horizontal design and features mean there is no contamination of flavours when cooking, and all compartments are accessible - unlike a traditional tiered steamer. A strong glass lid ensures the heat is retained. Pre-programmed with eight settings for

T
wo iconic British brands– cooking appliance manufacturer Stoves and
Dulux, the UK’s leading paint brand - have collaborated to create a UK first by launching a range cooker in the new ‘Colour of the Year’ shade, Brave Ground. Stoves, which is celebrating its centenary this
year, will be launching Brave Ground as a colour choice across all of its Richmond Deluxe range cookers later this year. Brave Ground becomes the tenth new colour
to be added to the new Stoves 2020 Colour Boutique line, with the other nine shades developed based on research by WGSN, the leading authority on consumer and design trends. Brave Ground, the Dulux Colour of the Year,
was selected by an expert panel of colour designers, trend forecasters, design specialists, architects and editors from around the world. Jane Rylands, Head of Marketing at Stoves, said:
“We’re celebrating 100 years of manufacturing with a partnership with another much-loved brand. We’re delighted to be launching our Richmond Deluxe range cookers in the new Colour of the Year, Brave Ground. “Colour in the kitchen isn’t a new trend, but it’s becoming increasingly important for consumers
looking to add personality and style to the most important room in the home. “Given the development time, research and
forecasting into colour trends by Dulux, we know that the Colour of the Year – which is now in its 18th year – is a significant release which will set the colour agenda and to be able to offer it on a range cooker for the first time is a fantastic option for homeowners.” Stoves Richmond Deluxe range models boast premium features and are available in 90cm, 100cm, or 110cm sizes and gas, induction, dual fuel, or gas-through-glass fuel types. Features include the unique Proflex™ cavity
splitter, enabling cooks to convert the market- leading tall cavity into two separate Equiflow fan ovens – creating the only 90cm range cooker with four ovens on the market – and a Zeus™ Bluetooth® Connected Timer, which allows the oven timer to be controlled by smartphone or tablet using a Bluetooth connection. compartments and enables the user to easily set and see the remaining cooking time in each individual compartment. The Intellisteam is both safe and user friendly,
featuring thoughtful additions such as an external water top up which allows the user to add additional water without disturbing the meal’s cooking progress. As a safety measure there is also a boil-dry alarm to alert the cook to low water levels, and a safety cut-out, just in case. The versatile accessories and individually
controlled cooking chambers allow the user to cook proteins, carbohydrates, and vegetables in different combinations as well as sauces and desserts. To sit alongside the appliance Morphy Richards has developed a clear and accessible instruction book which includes recipe inspiration.
Designed with modern living in mind, the
Intellisteam includes dishwasher safe parts and all accessories are made from BPA-free plastic. Despite its impressive technical capabilities, the Intellisteam is compact and easy to store, with all accessories fitting within the bowl and a plug and cord store provided underneath. Annaliese Curtis, Marketing Manager at
Morphy Richards, said: “Steaming has long been acknowledged as the best way to maintain nutritional value and flavour in food, especially vegetables. However, historically, many consumers had found themselves turned off by the idea of using tiered stacking baskets and having to time separate components. We believe the Intellisteam removes all these obstacles, allowing the consumer to easily steam an entire meal in a single pot without flavour contamination. This appliance does all the hard work for you. We think it’s a gamechanger for consumers.” The Intellisteam is available to stock now.
