Whilst events of the last 20-months or so have been challenging to us all, the benefits of working together, have never been more important. COVID changed the way we work, and the positive legacy must be the


improved customer service that has come about from working in partnership with suppliers and customers. Online sales, for example came into its own, but also forced us to develop our


offering, in dialogue with retailers, to ensure they get the best experience possible. But developments also mean investment and if we truly want to build strong


working relationships then we must also put money into services such as offering next day delivery or virtual showrooms. The value-add ‘best-in-class’ services bring to customers cannot be underestimated and will repay themselves many times over.


In addition, this


commitment to understanding the many challenges we all face, helps shape the services we all offer, and by building strong relationships we can therefore develop new ways of working that also increase levels of service. Covid has brought about

Towel rail options expand to meet demand


The choice of towel rails available today has grown exponentially to meet the demand for a designer or decorative radiator in the bathroom, wet room or en-suite in virtually all new build homes in the UK and for those bathrooms in existing homes that have managed to escape them thus far! Whilst the


traditional chrome plated ladder rail is still popular and available from most 'sheds', the more discerning specifier or homeowner tends to be interested in a slightly more exciting option from the wide range available - with a range of finishes and a huge range of designs. Chrome plate is still an option, but stainless steel, painted steel, brushed steel and even other metal finishes are available and across a range of designs that can only be imagined from the outrageous to the tasteful, from the useful to the purely decorative. With a market of around a million pieces each year this is a serious market to be in - in 2021.

When it comes to bathroom furniture, the amount of storage space it provides is only one of the many things that will influence a sale. As with everything in the modern bathroom, furniture design is now very focused on style, just as much as on the practicalities. Persuading consumers to trade up may well come down to elements like LED lighting,


internal storage compartments and colour and texture. These, among other factors, provide retailers with a golden opportunity to differentiate their designs from cheaper alternatives. And at a time when consumers are investing a lot more in their bathrooms and recognising the value in such an investment, making the most of your displays and really demonstrating the difference in quality to visitors to your showroom is likely to pay off.
