James: Ceramic surfaces are gaining popularity due to technological advancements in printing and processing, making them as aesthetically beautiful as natural stone while offering enhanced durability for high-traffic areas like kitchens. The demand for green aesthetics is also rising, with worksurfaces featuring green elements - whether in the background or veining—pairing beautifully with oak and black-stained ash kitchen doors. White marble remains the dominant choice, with increasing interest in bold veining patterns such as Breccia Capraia and Calacatta Viola, known for their multi-coloured veins. Additionally, there is a revival of Travertine and Taj Mahal aesthetics as kitchen designs embrace neutral tones and natural materials. Among the most sought-after materials right now are Rosso Levanto, Blue Roma, and Calacatta Viola, which are capturing significant attention in contemporary design trends.
Matt: You’re providing a wide range of services. What does it take for a company to stay on top of everything and maintain a high level of service? Chris: We greatly value our customers and continue to listen to their feedback. We conducted a Customer Survey in April 2024 and the results and suggestions from that fed much of the product and service innovations described above. As a long-standing family business, we take great pride in a lot of our customer relationships going back many years based on trusted service and quality products and as the market has evolved, our comprehensive product portfolio and wide range of services has grown to meet
their needs. Each customer is also provided with a dedicated support team who are on hand to help them with any ordering, product, or sales assistance they may need, whilst our specialist design service and marketing support means we are always on hand to help. One of the pivotal steps taken by the Danesmoor Group is the rigorous measurement and certification of its Scope 1 and Scope 2 CO2 emissions in partnership with Planet Mark. This milestone reflects the Group’s proactive stance in offsetting 2,744 tonnes of carbon by supporting a range of global initiatives. From reforestation projects to clean energy advancements, these initiatives are critical components of the Group’s broader strategy to combat climate change and foster a more sustainable world.
