BKU’s Matt Broughton spoke with Strategic Channel Manager at Thomas Dudley Plumbing Products, Mark Morris.


’m aware we’re only a few months into 2025, but Thomas Dudley’s Strategic Channel Manager, MarkMorris, gives a very positive reply when I ask how the year is going thus far: “Surprisingly buoyant! With all the negative news circulating about the economy, we were not 100% sure what to expect from 2025, but so far things are looking really positive, andwe remain optimistic about the future and are excited about the opportunities that lie ahead.” The company has apparently set itself some

loft growth targets for 2025, as Mark explains: “Our vision for the future includes expanding our market presence, innovating our product lines, and enhancing our operational efficiency. We aim to achieve significant improvements in our sustainability, customer satisfaction, and technological advancement. Our dedicated teams are committed to driving growth through excellence, innovation, and a relentless focus on quality.”


Thomas Dudley is very proud of its 100-year-


old family-run company. I ask mark what advantages he thinks this heritage brings to the company: “We have a very strong family orientated culture, based around our key principles of Teamwork, Partnership, and Family. Over the years we have developed a close-knit supportive work environment that has led to higher employee loyalty, lower staff turnover, and a strong, cohesive company culture. This in turn has created a strong bond between us, our customers, and the local community, where the majority of our workforce still live.” Right now the company is focused on its range


of water saving products as a priority, with the new Quantum pushbutton syphon and Hydroflo delay fill inlet valves leading the way. Both are designed to reduce water usage and prevent toilets from leaking. I ask Mark to tell us about theWindsor Declaration that Thomas Dudley signed last year: “Thomas Dudley, alongside other members of the Bathroom Manufacturers Association (BMA), proudly signed the Windsor Declaration, a pivotal initiative addressing the pressing issues of water scarcity and infection prevention,” explains Mark. “As a responsible manufacturer, we are dedicated to pioneering innovative solutions, upholding sustainable practices, and collaborating with governments and stakeholders to tackle the challenges highlighted in the declaration. “The Windsor Declaration commits its signatories to several key areas: Water Efficiency Labelling, Infection Prevention, Research and Development, and Enhanced Sanitation. By

endorsing this declaration, Thomas Dudley positions itself at the forefront of the effort to combat water scarcity and improve sanitation and hygiene standards.” Thomas Dudley is also very active with local


charities and schools. I ask Mark about those activities: “As a proud UKmanufacturer, Thomas Dudley believes in showcasing the diverse career opportunities available to school leavers within themanufacturing sector. We regularly host school visits for students of all ages, where we demonstrate our wide range of products and offer guided tours of ourmanufacturing facility – reminiscent of a Willy Wonka factory tour. “In addition to our educational initiatives, we


actively support local colleges andmake regular donations to a variety of charities. We take great pride in nurturing the future of manufacturing and contributing to our community through these efforts.” With sustainability becoming more andmore important to customers, Thomas Dudley is commited to improving this side of its business, as Mark explains: “Our in-house Product Management and Design Teams are dedicated to continuously developing new bathroom products that reduce water usage and enhance environmental sustainability.We focus on using eco-friendlymaterials and implementing green manufacturing processes, ensuring that our innovations contribute positively to the environment.”
