Elica makes majestic

additions to cooker hood range E

lica, the Italian cooker hood specialist, has made stylish new additions to its wall- mounted and island ranges.

Majestic Sense, an appliance that combines contemporary design with leading-edge features and benefits, is finished in black glass and polished stainless steel. The hood’s clean, modern design includes a new anti-condensation facility. The glass heats up thereby preventing condensation forming on the front of the hood and solving the problem of condensation caused by using induction hobs not heating up the environment around the hob but only the pan itself. Any condensation that forms on the inside surfaces of the hood collects in a removable drip tray.

The hood extracts from both its front and lower surfaces for maximum fume capture, and can be ducted out from the top with a chimney or directly from the rear. The hood incorporates touch control;

strip LED lighting; an A energy rating; airflow up to 603 m3/h and a minimum 46dBA noise level. It is available in either 60cms or 90cms sizes. Majestic Sense is also part of Elica’s new Stream range, a collection of hoods and induction hobs that can interact intelligently and wirelessly with each other and with SNAP, the new air quality balancer. The system functions by combining data from sensors within the hoods and the new range of induction hobs to optimise the performance and air quality. Bio, in contrast, combines the classic lines of a conventional cooker hood with a satin white and natural wood finish that gives it a fresh, contemporary feel suitable for almost any space or decor.

The hood, which is available in wall-mounted or island models and which can be used in re-circulating or duct out modes, incorporates excellent extraction technology of up to 757 m3/h on boost but with very

low noise of only 32-60 db(A) in normal operation and 69db(A) on boost. The hood’s Revolution Filter guarantees 82% filtration levels, compared to the market average of 60%.

An extension oak shelf, which is available for the wall-mounted model, gives a longer, more elegant design option. The unit also incorporates a handy USB socket for the convenient placing and charging of mobile phones or tablets while following a recipe or catching up with other things online. As one of the Elica Téchne range, Bio is fitted with an innovative Tune-White feature. At the press of a button, you can adjust the colour temperature of the LEDs in the hood from a warm yellow light (2700K) to a cool white light (6000K) to reflect your personal preference or to match other lighting in the room.
