KBSA appoints Koralia Hume as its new Bathroom Champion


une 2025: The KBSA (Kitchen Bathroom Bedroom Specialists Association) is proud to announce the appointment of Koralia Hume, director of Quarrybank Boutique Bathrooms, as its Bathroom Champion. This is a new strategic role created by the KBSA to expand and elevate the bathroom arm of the Association.

Historically, the KBSA has been a leading voice for the UK’s independent kitchen and bedroom retail sector, with a strong network of approved members and trusted manufacturers. While bathrooms have always been part of the Association’s remit, their growing prominence within the home has prompted the KBSA to dedicate increased focus and resources to supporting this key area of the industry.


Koralia’s appointment marks a pivotal step in that direction. She will work alongside Partner and Membership Director Malcolm Scott and KBSA Chairman Richard Hibbert to bring bathroom suppliers on board, forge new partnerships and promote the unique benefits of KBSA membership to independent bathroom retailers across the UK. “I feel truly honoured and privileged to step into the role of Bathroom Champion for the KBSA,” Koralia enthuses. “It’s a tremendous recognition from industry peers and I’m incredibly proud to represent the bathroom sector at this level. My vision is to elevate the profile of bathrooms within the KBSA – bringing them to stand shoulder to shoulder with kitchens and bedrooms.


“Since joining in April, I’ve hit the ground running – in heels, no less! – and have already been engaging in meaningful conversations with some of the most influential bathroom brands in the UK. The energy is there, the appetite for change is real, and I’m excited about what lies ahead. Watch this space – we’re just getting started!”

Independents Unmissable at InstallerSHOW 2025


nstallerSHOW 2025 was buzzing and The IPG was right at the centre, proudly championing its independent members. Our mission this year was clear, to make independents unmissable. From the moment the doors opened, our stand drew attention. Back by popular demand, our games-themed space returned with the hilarious Plunger Games and a nostalgic Operation-style challenge. The crowd loved it, but beyond the fun, every interaction highlighted the strength, value, and community at the heart of independent businesses.

We were proud to partner with some of our suppliers: Roper Rhodes, Intergas, Fränkische, Bristan, Imex and Utopia, whose game prizes boosted engagement and drove traffic across all our stands. TV personality Mark Millar brought the energy, hosting our Head-to-Head Quiz and creating a social buzz that spread far beyond the NEC. Winners walked away with vouchers to spend in IPG member stores, many of which will see new customers


walk through their doors, voucher in hand.


Meanwhile, our sponsorship of the Heating Installer Awards reaffirmed our commitment to celebrating talent and excellence in the trade. For The IPG, InstallerSHOW isn’t just about turning up, it’s about showing up for our members and lifting them into the spotlight. We’re not here to be background noise.
