Lakes Promotes Customer Service Apprentice
eading shower enclosure brand Lakes Showering Spaces has appointed apprentice Katie Harris as a Customer Service Advisor, strengthening its Customer Services team while promoting development for young apprentices in the KBB sector.

Katie, who joined the Lakes team during National Apprenticeship Week in 2024, has seen her career flourish since, gaining hands-on experience across various departments and recently passing her Customer Service Practitioner Level 2 Apprenticeship with a Distinction. Katie said: “I’m so pleased to have been appointed to Customer Service Advisor at Lakes and joined the team full time.
“From my first day, I’ve felt very supported here, everyone has been so patient with me and always available to offer guidance. “Their support has really helped me become more confident in my role and I’m excited for the future.”
Katie is now looking to enrol on a Business Administration Level 3 course at Gloucester College in order to continue her training and progress alongside her role at Lakes.
Katie’s permanent appointment is also a real positive for Lakes, who pride themselves on investing in new talent and fostering young careers. As the Government looks to reduce the skills gap in the KBB sector by creating 120,000 new apprenticeships by 2029, Lakes strives to lead by example by offering real opportunities for personal and industry growth and support to apprentices.

The day begins with bacon rolls for breakfast, followed by a shotgun start, as well as a two-course meal and presentation ceremony. Tickets are priced at £85+VAT for TTA members and £95+VAT for non-TTA members, which includes the refreshments and meal. This event will raise funds for Lighthouse Charity. The Tile Association’s
