WORKSURFACES & SPLASHBACKS James Archer
PWS
James Archer, Head of Sales at PWSWorksurfaces, spoke with BKU’s Matt Broughton about the company’s ongoing mis- sion to bring affordable premium design worksurfaces to the market, and what the rest of the year holds in store.
“
explainsPWSWorksurfaces’ Head of Sales, JamesArcher. “We’ve seen double digit growth across all our customer categories, andwe see this continuing throughout 2025 and into 2026. Our key activities have been around the development of our own ceramic range – the Strata Ceramic Collection –which is a first for PWS. The curated collection offers 6 high-quality, Italian-made ceramic surfaces which are engineered with cutting-edge technology to deliver on both style and performance. These are giving us two main benefits by introducing more low silica products and allowing us to develop new and exciting colours by utilising innovative print technology – giving our customers even more choice.” James explains that PWS is continuing to innovate with a comprehensive range of commercially proven new product introductions, all designed to help its customers sell more. “The main goal for PWS Worksurfaces is to bring affordable premium design worksurfaces to themarket for all consumers and to develop mutually beneficial trading relationships with all our trade customers.” Right now, PWS is focused on building further

see in the next twelve months. James also tells me the company has seen an increased awareness of ceramic / ultra compactmaterials which have driven the trend for this type of material.
“
We will continue to deliver high-quality products and services with reliability and precision
I ask where we can expect to see PWS go
from here innovation-wise? “We are extremely fortunate to be part of the wider Danesmoor Group and so can utilise and be part of all kitchen product development, ensuring all our new products are aligned with the kitchen trends we see developing - not just worksurfaces in isolation,” explains James. “In addition, PWS is now operating from a 92,000 square foot facility following amulti-million poundmanufacturing investment, meaning the incredible investment in machinery and systems has delivered a more efficient process, a further 50% increase in capacity and therefore new and innovative processes that facilitate more bespoke and unique designs across its worksurface services.”
Sustainability One of the most pivotal steps taken by the Danesmoor Group, and therefore PWS Worksurfaces, is the rigorous measurement and
certification of its Scope 1 and Scope 2 CO2 emissions in partnership with Planet Mark. This initiative has provided a transparent account of the emissions generated directly by the group, as well as establishing a clear baseline from which to execute further reductions. As a result of these efforts, the Danesmoor Group has achieved a 73% reduction in CO2 emissions associated with waste management – attributed to recycling strategies and collaborations with dedicated partners to harness the potential of waste to generate energy. By effectively transforming waste into a resource, the group is decreasing its carbon footprint and contributing to the circular economy that minimises landfill contributions and promotes responsible resource use. In addition, the Danesmoor Group has also achieved a carbon neutrality certification through Ecologi. This milestone reflects the group’s proactive stance in offsetting 2,744 tonnes of carbon by supporting a range of global initiatives. And as for the rest of the year… “PWS Worksurfaces will continue to innovate and be at the forefront ofmaterial and fabrication trends, whilst building on our best-in-class products and manufacturing,” says James. “We pride ourselves on our knowledgeable team and robust systems to ensure seamless operations and customer support, and therefore we will continue to deliver high-quality products and services with reliability and precision.”
