Business director Carl Hearnden comments: “After months of planning an extra special event, the entire BKU Awards team is of course disappointed that we are unable to go ahead with a live event this year however the health and safety of everyone involved is our number one priority.


“With that being said, we know that now – perhaps more than ever – it’s essential to recognise all of the hard work going on in the sector and celebrate those that have been deservingly selected as winners by their peers. We believe that by moving the BKU Awards to a live streamed virtual event, we can still provide an event that honours the ethos of the awards while safeguarding everyone involved.”

The live stream will be hosted on the dedicated BKU Awards website on Thursday 16 July, from 4.00pm to 5.45pm. No pre-registration is required to attend – professionals are simply invited to log on to the stream, grab a glass of bubbly and join in the celebrations on the social wall by using #BKUAwards20 on social media.
