Innovation and Quality of Design are key for Duravit

Comment by Martin Carroll Managing Director, Duravit UK

bathrooms and sanitaryware for over 200 years and our products are key elements in hotels, spas and residential buildings worldwide. As a brand Duravit have always been innovative, in terms of design and more recently with their comfort- enhancing technology. Quality and elegant design have always played a significant part in Duravit’s products and by working in conjunction with high- profile international designers, such as Philippe Starck, sieger design, Kurt Merki Jr., Christian Werner, Matteo Thun and Cecilie Manz, we are able to introduce new and exciting products on a regular basis. The recent events have obviously had an impact on the industry, especially in terms of

uravit has been leading the way in the manufacture of designer

building development, physical installations and new product launches. However, it’s also been a time for creative development and we are keen to see the new designs and inspirational concepts that these strange times will bring forth. Businesses are now starting to reopen and

we are delighted to be able to introduce a number of new products that would have been launched earlier in the year.. This includes the exciting new innovations to the Happy D2 Plus range – C-Bonded and C-Shaped plus new additions to the Luv series designed by Cecilie Manz. Philippe Starck is also launching new range extensions within the ME by Starck series. The French creative has succeeded in developing a collection that not only satisfies the desire for pure aesthetics; but can be introduced into a vast range of alternative styles, creating enormous scope for individual design.

Introducing the new ME by Starck from Duravit W

ith his new ME by Starck range for Duravit, the French creative has

succeeded in developing a collection that not only satisfies the desire for pure aesthetics; but can be introduced into a wide variety of stylish environments. Bathroom design begins with the washing area

and the ME by Starck washbasin with its asymmetrically positioned basin provides a generous shelf, whilst the new compact handrinse

basin is a perfect solution for the smallest of rooms. The ME range hasn’t been designed to dominate the room, but to increase the scope for individualization. For example the new furniture washbasin in a width of 1230 mm, is available with a choice of one or two tap holes and can be combined with the Duravit L-Cube, XSquare, XViu, Ketho, Brioso, and XBase furniture ranges. Duravit has completely harmonized the range’s look and feel, from the ceramic glaze through to

the furniture finishes, perfection down to the last detail. All ME by Starck washbasins and the matching toilet are now available in the new White Satin Matt ceramic finish. Their velvety finish exudes a sophisticated elegance and creates contrasts with glossy individual pieces.
