Increased demand for stylish accessibility solutions

With an ageing population and an estimated 14.6 million disabled people in the UKi, accessibility in bathrooms and kitchens will continue to be an important subject in 2024 and beyond. The key trend that we are seeing from our customers is an increasing demand for products that aren’t just inclusive but place a priority on contemporary aesthetics as well. This is being driven in part by the private-pay market, who want inclusive bathrooms and kitchens that

work with the existing décor of the home. However, what has been interesting is the increasing importance of contemporary accessible kitchen and bathroom design in the social housing sector too. As a result, we have extended our stylised Onyx bathroom range and embraced a minimal, modern aesthetic across our Navlin and sanitaryware ranges. For companies wanting to capitalise on this growing market the key is combining style and functionality, at the right price point.

Circular Economy is key to future growth

As with most products, Sustainability and the impact on the environment is a key consideration when designing, manufacturing and recycling Shower Trays. The Circular Economy is changing the marketplace by ensuring products such as Shower Trays are manufactured from 100% recycled materials and at their end of life, they can be 100% recycled.

As a result, acrylic based trays will need to adapt as they are not easily recyclable and at end of life they are effectively landfill only. The future of Shower Trays is Solid Surface, as they are manufactured using natural materials – mostly recycled stone and resin. This is easily recycled at its end of life and can be reground back to its original value and purpose – completing the Circular Economy.

Roman has upgraded and relaunched their shower tray offer with a new range of Solid Surface Anti-Slip Shower Trays – massively increasing our range to 46 sizes. A truly all-encompassing modern range futureproofed for longevity and sustainability.

Japandi and Spa-like Luxury: The Defining Design Trends of 2024

As we step into 2024, the spa-like and Japandi design remains the epitome of style, asserting its position as the go-to choice for the year ahead. This trend is evolving, introducing subtle patterns, rich textures, and a neutral colour palette to both tile and furniture finishes. Within brassware, there's an embrace of elements like fluting or knurled textures, infusing a sense of opulence that elevates the overall design aesthetic. These additions harmonise with the textures of furniture, ensuring a cohesive design language across all selected products.
