023 has been a momentous year for Villeroy & Boch,” explains Fabrizia, “and has been marked by significant milestones, such as our 275th anniversary, and exciting product launches that showcase our commitment to timeless elegance and innovation.” This year Villeroy & Boch launched its Antao collection which is inspired by nature. The collection’s dewdrop-shaped design helps transform bathrooms into sanctuaries that invite nature and allow those mindful moments. This new line encompasses a range of bathroom essentials including washbasins, baths, furniture, and mirrors.
“In addition to the Antao collection, we also expanded our portfolio with a new range of tap fittings. This comprehensive collection comprises a total of 12 distinct lines, each perfectly matched to other products from Villeroy & Boch. By offering a diverse selection we aim to provide customers with a one-stop solution for creating a cohesive and stylish bathroom.
As we celebrate our 275th anniversary, we are proud to continue to blend innovation with timeless design to create products that enhance the lives of our customers.”
I ask Fabrizia what changes in trends and customer demands Villeroy & Boch has seen over the last 12 months. “In the ever-evolving landscape of bathroom design, we have been paying close attention to developing trends and

customer preferences over the past year. In 2023 we have seen a surge in popularity of darker, luxurious colours like our Matte Black taps, as well as increased emphasis on transforming the bathroom from a functional space to a sanctuary of indulgence and relaxation. Our designs, such as our Antao collection, ensure that every moment spent in the bathroom becomes a luxurious retreat and a personal escape from the demands of daily life.”

In November Villeroy & Boch opened a brand- new showroom at the Business Design Centre which showcases both the Bathroom and Wellness offering as well as its Dining & Lifestyle product ranges. Fabrizia explains: “Since the opening, we have been focussing on inviting both new and existing clients to explore our wide range of products in the brand-new space. Our appointment-only showroom gives our customers the chance to explore the nineteen captivating displays that feature several iconic collections, including Finion, Antao, Collaro, Subway 3.0 and Taps. Our team of experts are
always happy to provide in-person guidance and design recommendations.
As Villeroy & Boch looks ahead to the future, they’re excited to continue to lead the way in shaping the next chapter of bathroom design, where beauty and functionality meet seamlessly: “We have exciting new innovative collections in the pipeline for 2024, which we can’t wait to share very soon!”
As for predictions for 2024… “We anticipate seeing a shift away from clean minimalism and a move towards more harmonious colours, soft shapes and a touch of opulence within the bathroom,” says Fabrizia. “The move away from the conventional clean and minimalistic approach will signify the importance of a more holistic approach to wellness. The bathroom in 2024 will not only be a functional space but will be a sanctuary to both the body and soul.”
