ith its sleek, contemporary design, NikolaTesla is an induction hob and cooker hood in the same appliance; the first Elica cooktop with fully integrated extraction. The central fan, incorporated unobtrusively into the cooktop, delivers a high level of performance, near silent operation and excellent energy efficiency (class A+ rating), so improving both air quality and comfort in the kitchen. Functionality is at its heart. The combination of placing the extraction at the centre of all four zones and its very high-speed airflow ensures the highest performance. Extraction can be controlled manually with its touch controls or automatically as the control system can communicate directly with the induction cooktop and as it receives information about each cooking zone, it automatically adjusts suction poser and speed leaving the user to concentrate completely on cooking.
The new high performance ceramic odour filters, used in the recirculating version of NikolaTesla are directly accessible from the cooktop. Simply by removing the access panel, the filters can easily be taken out and cleaned. NikolaTesla includes the latest technologies in induction hobs: energy efficiency, precise temperature control, easy cleaning and a ‘Bridge’ function, to join two adjacent cooking zones to provide consistent cooking even with large cooking pots. The induction cooktop’s 10-speed touch control allows used to adjust both the speed of the individual cooking zones and the air suction zone.
Aesthetic quality is also central. NikolaTesla features Elica’s distinctive design with clean lines and the use of high quality materials.
NikolaTesla has also been designed to be simple to clean and maintain. You can easily remove the four high performance ceramic filters to clean and regenerate them. Similarly, you can easily reach the aluminium grease filter for removal and cleaning in a dishwasher. To protect the extractor from damage, even from large spillages, NikolaTesla has a liquid collection container that is easy to drain and clean.
NikolaTesla is available in both recirculating and duct-out versions. It is also part of Elica’s Stream range, a collection of hoods and induction hobs that can interact intelligently and wirelessly with each other and with SNAP, the company’s air quality balancer. The system functions by combining data from sensors within the hoods and the new range of induction hobs to optimise air quality and performance.
