024 has been a truly remarkable one for BLANCO, filled with


campaigns, product launches, and events, each reflecting the company’s commitment to innovation and quality. “One of the standout moments was showcasing BLANCO products at key events including the Ideal Home Show, Grand Designs Live London and Birmingham, and Clerkenwell Design Week,” says Brand Communications Manager, Tamsin Mills. “These events gave us an opportunity to connect with consumers, industry professionals and the media, offering hands-on experiences with our products and highlighting our dedication to excellence and cutting-edge design. Each event helped to elevate BLANCO’s visibility and solidify our position as a leader in premium kitchen water place solutions.”


BLANCO CHOICE was a big part of BLANCO’s focus in 2024 - the first drinks system of its kind available in the UK and an exciting launch for the company. “We know that homeowners are looking for ways to simplify daily routines and reduce environmental impact, and CHOICE delivers on this,” explains Tamsin. “The innovative system offers filtered still, sparkling, and


boiling water, all from one sleek unit that eliminates the need for bottled water and bulky appliances like kettles. The drinks system combines the BLANCO CHOICE Icona semi-pro tap with the CHOICE.All water conditioning unit, which together create a completely customisable experience for the user.


“In essence, CHOICE captures 2024’s kitchen trends by creating a streamlined, high-quality water source that integrates sustainability, convenience, and a modern style in one advanced system.”


As this has become a very competitive area, I ask Tamsin what she believes gives BLANCO the edge? “BLANCO holds a unique advantage in the industry, driven by years of expertise and a commitment to both innovation and quality. At the heart of this innovation is the BLANCO UNIT, a seamless system that combines a sink, tap, in-cabinet organisation, and waste disposal into one cohesive, stylish hub. The BLANCO UNIT is designed to enhance efficiency and user experience in the kitchen, blending high-end technology with practical design. This is our unique approach to the kitchen water place and the combined approach gives us the edge in a competitive market.”


Tamsin explains that, as a brand, BLANCO focuses on integrating technology and


user-friendly features into its products and making them customisable where possible. “For example, CHOICE gives users the option to create personalised settings and adapt the technology so that it optimises their individual lifestyle. From controlling the exact amount of water dispensed, the temperature of the water or the intensity of the bubbles in sparkling water, the BLANCO App gives homeowners the revolutionary opportunity to personalise their kitchen water place.” Furthermore, this year BLANCO launched the BLANCOCULINA-S II Sensor Tap, a semi-professional, hands-free mixer tap. BLANCOCULINA is one of the most popular kitchen mixer tap families in the BLANCO portfolio and the new BLANCOCULINA-S II Sensor builds on the original tap’s success, moving design to the next level. With the introduction of dual sensor technology, the hands-free operation is activated and deactivated by a simple wave motion, which enhances both convenience and hygiene.


“This seamless integration of cutting-edge technology with ease of use ensures that BLANCO remains a leader in kitchen innovation,” says Tamsin.


Earlier in 2024 BLANCO launched a 10-week digital campaign to educate consumers about BLANCO CHOICE, highlighting the drinks system’s advanced features. The campaign was an important part of the company’s strategy to support retailers, and by investing in consumer-level awareness, it was able to show its commitment to helping retailer sales. The campaign was supported by digital assets across social media platforms showing the product features and benefits, as well as point-of-sale materials in showrooms. It also included a promotion for a free ETAGON sink with any CHOICE drinks system purchase, helping consumers envision their ideal kitchen water place setup.

2025 will see BLANCO celebrate its 100th anniversary. “To mark the occasion, we have an exciting line-up of events and new products. We can’t reveal anything just yet, but 100 years of BLANCO will certainly be a cause for celebration!”
