Bathroom Trends – Colour & Wellness A

The ability to express an individual style through interior design is becoming increasingly accessible for consumers. In bathrooms, we are seeing people wanting to create a unique experience, completely tailored to their personal taste and preferences. This has also made way for retailers to showcase the array of colourful finishes that are available for bathroom fittings – from complete shower set-ups to accessories.
The growing trend of Matt Black and Matt White isn’t showing any signs of slowing down; Matt Black for the industrial look and Matt White working very well when combined with dark wash basin finishes. They can also be used to highlight the synergy of colourful details in the space.
The rise of Matt White and Matt Black saw the popularity of metal finishes take a slight dip earlier this year, but they are also making a comeback. Bronze finishes are proving to be particularly popular now as they bring a warm, natural tone to any bathroom space. In addition, Alternatively, polished gold, brushed black-chrome and brushed bronze create beautiful contrasts against rich tiles or luxury finishes such as marble.
To bring a further uniqueness to a bathroom renovation, mixing finishes has also become a trend in itself; by clashing the contemporary look of matt black against the softer, more elegant look of metallic finishes.
In addition, the Covid-19 pandemic and resulting lockdowns saw many of us prioritise wellness and self-care. Our homes have increasingly become places of retreat and in the bathroom, wellness is a top priority. This can be reflected in the overall bathroom design, but importantly in the fixtures and technology. In showering, heads that offer the user different experiences through alternating spray types will add significant value in creating a ‘spa- like’ feel.

s colour becomes more popular in the bathroom, retailers that are able to showcase several options will find this goes a long way in generating sales and customer confidence. Spa Experiences
All showers don’t have to deliver water the same way, so this gives retailers a range of options to present to customers, depending on their desired showering experience. With this in mind, hansgrohe has put significant investment in to spray technology development, and key to this is the renowned and industry acclaimed PowderRain spray pattern.
With the advantage of micro spray technology, PowderRain is much finer than conventional shower jets; with up to six ultra-fine outlets per nozzle, spray is transformed into thousands of

micro droplets, designed to envelop the body in a gentle cocoon of water. What’s more, these micro droplets help to reduce noise and minimise splashing, creating a peaceful, tranquil space for the customer.
