Bringing the industry together at InstallerSHOW2023 T
here’s more interest in the plumbing, heating and electrical
industries than ever before (at least in my memory). When InstallerSHOW in launched in 2015, it
was a completely different event in a completely different landscape. There wasn’t a cost-of-living crisis and spiralling fuel bills, no legally binding carbon targets to hit, and there wasn’t nearly as much interest from the government, the mainstream media, and the public about the types of white box that heat your home. Fast forward to 2023, and we’re on the cusp of
major changes. As a country, we need to produce less carbon, from buildings, from our cars, from manufacturing, from everywhere.
This creates huge opportunities, but also
uncertainty, and the pathway isn’t yet clear. Ironically, back in 2015 many of the brands, the
products and the visitors will be the same as today. Boilers, heat pumps, smart controls, radiators, underfloor heating, EVs, solar panels, water efficiency, and the list goes on. This technology has evolved and improved, but
