INDUSTRY VIEWS INDUSTRY The Colours of COVID
The last few years, marked by the pandemic, lockdowns, and ‘working from home’, have seen people looking increasingly to colour to brighten up homes, but also to create both mood and emotion. The bathroom has not escaped this makeover trend, being often an easy project and one that can bring the greatest emotional reward. Whites, blacks, and greys will always endure, but as people have looked to manage their own stresses and anxieties
through decoration, we have seen a rise in demand for colourful bathroom products and interiors. A look at last month’s KBB Show saw colourful basins, baths, furniture, and décor everywhere. We’ve certainly seen
growth in sales of our colourful Bathrooms to Love furniture in shades such as indigo blue, sea green and antique rose. Greens and botanical designs are also proving popular too with their natural connection to the outdoors and their ‘biophilic’ influence on wellbeing and productivity. Bold colours alone or mated with contrasting whites and brassware opens up an enormous variety of style options to help consumers achieve a certain individuality of look that reflects their feelings. Colour is here to stay too, with COVID just accelerating its momentum rather than starting it. With consumers now
having seen what is available and the vast design possibilities colour presents, demand is only going to increase with new shades, hues, and textures and more colourful bathrooms for us all.

British Made Products
Now more than ever, consumers are looking to purchase products that are manufactured in the UK. Due to the more controlled manufacturing environment and the high- quality British made products offer, there is a sense of satisfaction and additional peace of mind that comes with a British made product purchase. In the bathroom industry products made in the UK have a high quality craftmanship that means it is a long-lasting investment for individuals renovating their bathroom space.

Importance of Building a Customer Success Team
Good customer service should be the lifeblood of any business, regardless of size and the industry in which it operates in. Championing this internally helps to provide value, retain customers, reinforces your company and brand values, and helps to reduce employee turnover. Investing in people in terms of a skilled Sales and Customer Service Team enables you to offer
customers the support they need to ultimately grow their business. By ensuring you have the right people in the right seat to build trusted relationships, is one step to delivering a strong service proposition. From sales consultations on bestselling products and trends using data rich insights, to training, product, and marketing support, if you equip customers with the knowledge and tools required to make informed commercial decisions, this will ultimately generate more sales opportunities for them. Judging by recent conversations at Kbb last month, footfall
appeared to be significantly high and the general outlook among the industry is extremely positive.

Trends – Kitchens
Kitchens have always been considered as the heart of the home and the focus point of every house, but in the new climate – the kitchen has come under the increasing spotlight as people welcomed their colleagues into their home and for parents, they welcomed their With attentions turning to the kitchen, increasingly
the demand for space efficiency has been high on consumers requirements and we are seeing a huge spike in demand for 4-in-1 taps, compact sinks and waste disposal units. The 4-in1 tap allows consumers to choose from
four different settings – all with the simple touch. The mixer lever can be pulled forward or back for hot and cold water while a one tap sensor releases filtered water and a touch and hold frees the boiling water – a real game changer for the new multi-purpose kitchen. This new increased demand for uber functionality
within a kitchen isn’t going anyway any time soon and we’re excited to see how the rest of the industry responds.
