CDUK unveil new Corian® colours for stylish, inspiring kitchens
clean composition that makes it ideal for residential applications, from kitchen worktops to washrooms. Leeds-based surface material supplier CDUK has built a strong reputation as the exclusive distributor of Corian® Solid Surface in the UK and Ireland and has recently added six new colours to the existing range that are suitable for kitchen worksurfaces. Designed to integrate high-level beauty into the existing Corian® collection, the new colours are inspired by nature, with natural, muted tones to give a contemporary look and feel. Carrara, inspired by marble stone with
C
prominent veining, gives a simultaneous modern and classic effect, and the Artista colours - Canvas and Gray - combine smooth effect, intricate vein
orian® has long been known for its non-porous, durable, and easy to
patterns and neutral tones resulting in a contemporary finish. Sparkling Granita contains translucent and sparkling particles, which create an effervescent effect in the white surface and the swirling movement of Sand Storm adds beautiful depth to the colour and completes the new range. Corian® can be used to produce striking designs
– kitchen work surfaces, countertops, wall claddings, vanity tops and bowls and shower trays. The material is versatile and can be thermoformed, engraved and backlit; offering the opportunity to experiment with luminosity and form. Thermoformed Corian® can produce statement pieces, bespoke to personal needs and preference, creating a multitude of 2D and 3D shapes that add a dramatic element to spaces. Moreover, the material can be seamlessly
integrated with other appliances and fixtures within the kitchen to create a harmonious design aesthetic. Because of the non-porous nature of
Corian®, bacteria and mould are unable to grow as moisture can’t penetrate, meaning that hygiene is just as much of a feature as style; important for areas like kitchens. Thanks to its inherent stain resistance, Corian®
lasts a long time. It can easily be repaired and renewed, minimising the desire or need to replace, thus extending the life span of kitchen worktops. At the end of its life cycle, the material can be repurposed and reinstalled elsewhere or reworked into new products. Additionally, a selection of Corian® colours are produced with recycled content (up to 20%), including the new Artista collection, which contains 6% pre-consumer recycled content. The new colours add to the extensive library of
Corian®, which includes 98 colours, offering multiple design combinations to create modern and unique kitchens that will stand the test of time.
