INDUSTRY UPDATE
KBB Exhibition success for UWLA
T
he Unified Water Label Association, (UWLA) has hailed the 2022 KBB exhibition, held on 06-09 March at the NEC
Birmingham, a huge success. UWLA MD Yvonne Orgill said, “The quality of visitors was outstanding
and we made a number of extremely worthwhile connections, despite the show being smaller than in previous years. “We were particularly pleased that people came to seek us out to find
out more about the Unified Water Label, reflecting the changing attitudes as retailers, distributers and merchants all recognise that they now have an active part to play. “Our recently launched information packs proved popular, with
companies valuing the material which has been developed to drive home the Water Matters message and help consumers understand the link between using water, energy and their carbon footprint. “Interest was shown by retailers across the full spectrum, highlighting
that it is not just the cost conscious consumer looking to save money that wants to make water matter. Consumers at all price points are becoming more aware and looking to make more informed decisions, in order to have a positive impact on the planet, as well wanting to save energy. “We were also delighted to see visitors from outside the UK and
undertook an interview with a journalist from Norway. “2022 will be a crucial year for the Water Label as we continue our
dialogue with government on the introduction of mandatory label. KBB provided a perfect opportunity to engage with the industry and harness their support.”
