Daval customers embrace the social kitchen trend

We have found that staying at home more has completely transformed UK lifestyles and by virtue the social kitchen experience, with integrated home bars becoming a welcome addition as home entertaining continues to be more cost-effective than going out for many. In fact, a YouGov poll revealed that 65% of UK adults prefer to stay in, rather than going out and so the market is looking to more custom furniture solutions that support both home and lifestyle.

In my opinion, it all comes down to ‘custom comfort’ when creating a social kitchen scheme, which is why made-to-measure fitted furniture has become the number one choice in 2024 for offering greater freedom when introducing custom storage.

The very latest mindsets are geared towards ‘working to live’ and I think that hybrid work patterns, the cost of living, an ageing population and ‘always on’ culture has led to more personalised design briefs. For this reason, additions like the home bar and games room will support the kitchen space this year for a truly lifestyle-friendly ground floor.

Changing Working Practices

The software chosen by kbb retailers isn’t just changing the way spaces are planned and designed, it is changing entire working practices and helping build stronger customer relationships.

Cloud-based working, for example, has enormous benefits for all. A secure and cost- effective tool, it enables designs to be accessed and worked from anywhere at any time. There is no need for retailers to invest in expensive, high-powered computer infrastructure to hold immense amounts of data, and to rely on an having an IT expert on-hand in the showroom to handle complex systems. By taking advantage of all that collaborative cloud platforms have to offer, retailers can create inspirational designs to showcase to their customers in an immersive way, while saving space, cost and time. Such design technology allows retailers to deliver a better customer experience in every way, with modern, intuitive tools that allows them to complete designs faster and show customers more polished offers.
