SOFTWARE SOLUTIONS Leigh Martin

TruBlue

Matt Broughton spoke to TruBlue’s MD, Leigh Martin, about how the company is hoping to disrupt the industry through innovation and smart design.

e designed TruBlue to bring KBB pricing, selling and business management into the 21st century,” explains TruBlue’s MD, Leigh Martin, when I ask him to introduce the company.

W

“There was a clear need for a solution to be built on a modern, flexible platform, that allows new features to come to market quickly and efficiently.” TrueBlue is the new kid on the block, but its team contains decades of experience working within the KBB software sector. “Most of the team have worked together previously and fully understand the needs of the industry.” TruBlue exists totally in the cloud, and users access it via their web browser. This differs from some of its competitors, who aren’t cloud-based and are built using redundant, unsupported technology, as Leigh explains: “We identified the shortcomings and restrictions in the market- leading application and eliminated them entirely. Once logged in, users have instant access to everything they need. Catalogues can be added simply by checking a box. There is nothing to install, download or maintain.”

Flexibility is the bedrock that TruBlue is built upon. TruBlue works on every platform and any device that can run a modern web browser, including mobile devices and tablets.

Teams can work and collaborate from anywhere and are no longer tied to their desks. “For retailers, suppliers, and manufacturers, the cost of using applications like TruBlue has spiraled over the past few years. Acting as disruptors, we hope to break this cycle by never charging suppliers to host their catalogues, not tying users into long-term contracts and keeping the pricing structure as simple and as transparent as possible.”

We will continue to work closely with the industry to create solutions to improve business

TruBlue is feature-rich and extremely simple to use. The application covers all aspects of a user’s business, from accurate quoting, detailed cost breakdowns, scheduling, and invoicing to factory management and manufacturing, with new features being added daily.

I ask Leigh to single out TurBlue’s USP: “Our USP is most definitely the people; we have built a team full of enthusiasm, industry knowledge, and emotional intelligence; our customers love it. We don’t hide behind our website or automated email support systems. Training is provided free of charge; we have an incredible support portal that

includes videos of every aspect of the application to ensure all users can take advantage of all the available features.”

TruBlue originally launched in early June 2023, focusing on the key activities of CRM, quoting and ordering. Post-launch, the company has added activities, a smart, shared diary and scheduling system, configurable furniture combinations, an excellent tagging system, Integration with Microsoft and Gmail email accounts, full stock control and much more. “We are genuinely excited about the pace and quality of our new developments, and so are our customers. We send out weekly progress updates to all registered users.”

TruBlue has recently joined ‘Made in Britain’ and the KBSA. I ask Leigh what these unions being to the company. “Our priority has always been to link up with established trade bodies to connect with as much of the industry as possible. We joined Made in Britain as our solution is entirely designed and developed in the UK. We are also corporate members of the KBSA and offer incentives and additional support to its members. We also work with the DerKreis and Bathcom buying groups.”

TruBlue will continue to develop and expand its feature set into 2024 following an incredibly successful debut at the KBB show in March; “We will continue to work closely with the industry to create solutions to improve business.”.
