BMA – Building a better future with Band of Builders
I
n a heartwarming alliance that underscores solidarity and support within the construction industry, the Bathroom Manufacturers Association (BMA) is proud of its partnership with the Band of Builders for 2024. This collaboration aims to highlight the charity’s invaluable work aiding construction sector members during times of adversity. The Band of
Builders, born from the compassionate initiative of landscape gardener Addam Smith in 2016, has since burgeoned into a lifeline for those facing illness, injury, or life- altering circumstances within the construction
community. With over £1m in combined project value, the charity provides essential practical, financial, and wellbeing support to industry members and their families.
The BMA is set to kick off its support for the Band of Builders with a series of exciting charity events. Our inaugural Charity Summer Social, to be held at Worsley Park, Manchester, on July 3rd, promises a day of camaraderie and competition. Participants can engage in a thrilling golf tournament or showcase their skills in a box car rally, catering to both golf enthusiasts and non-golfers alike. The event culminates in a delightful drinks reception and meal, fostering team building amidst fun-filled activities. Furthermore, the BMA’s commitment to fundraising continues at our annual conference, scheduled for September 16th and 17th at the Queens Hotel, Leeds. The conference theme is “Building Growth,” and attendees can anticipate engaging with high-profile speakers and participating in specialised workshops aimed at fostering professional development. We’ll be raising funds for the Band of Builders through our popular raffle and auction held at our gala dinner on September 17.
These charity events serve as platforms for fundraising and opportunities for industry members to come together and forge meaningful connections. Through these initiatives, the BMA reaffirms its dedication to supporting the construction community and ensuring it does not face adversity alone. Visit the BMA website or contact the BMA team for more information.
