people in the industry and explore topics and stories for the title. There is no replacement for face-to-face interactions and experiences, and the weather has made it even more enticing to be on my travels; many of which can be read about in this issue.

First to be mentioned was my trip to the Spandex Summit at the company’s HQ in Bristol. The day was designed to showcase all products available from the supplier. There was a vast array of vinyls on show, examples of wide-format printers and experts on hand to answer any questions. All content on the two days can be found on pages 46 and 47.

Heading north to Shrewsbury I also visited the CMYUK demonstration building for its Open House. It was an event designed for customers to see all of the kit the reseller has on its books; from bestsellers to new ranges. It was a one-stop trip for all and to read more about it, turn to page 54.

Other trips took me to the IPIA Network Luncheon in Birmingham and The Printing Charity’s Rising Star Awards in Westminster. My experiences have not been put to paper but both were fantastic events where I was able to catch up with familiar faces in the industry and meet new ones so my thanks go out to both organisations for the invite.

One familiar face I saw was Lawrence Green, managing director of Greens the Signmakers whom I interviewed for this issue’s Sign Maker Profile. He is the third generation in his family to have held his position and we spoke in detail about the company’s past, his involvement, and where he sees it going in the future. You can read that feature on pages 36 and 37.

Though my miles may have halted for the time being it was such a pleasure to be invited to all these wonderful places and I cannot wait to see where else this role takes me. If you or your company has anything it wishes to share then please let me or Melanie know and you may be our next stop.

But I hope you enjoy this issue as we ready our engines for the next one!

t feels like I have spent just as much time this month on the road as I have in the office but all for good reason. Apart from breaking up the monotony of staring at a computer screen, it is the best way to meet with
