laire White of Antalis has been elected as the new vice president of the Shop & Display Equipment Association. Bringing fresh insight and experience to the executive team, Ms White said: “The SDEA continues to offer valuable and relevant support and advice across the very different sectors it encompasses within the shop fit, design and display industry, as well as providing key opportunities to liaise, network and, let’s not forget, celebrate, the immense creativity and successes of its members throughout the year. Having been a council member for the past three years, I was incredibly excited, honoured and delighted to accept the role of vice president for the coming year.” Ms White was elected during the association’s 78th Annual General


Meeting on Wednesday, May 14. During the meeting, Mark Chatterton was confirmed to continue in his role as president, providing stability and continuity in SDEA’s strategic direction. SDEA director, Antony Behiels, added: “We are delighted to welcome our new council members and look forward to the valuable perspectives they will bring. With Mark and Claire at the helm, the association is well positioned to continue championing innovation, collaboration, and excellence in the retail design and display industry.”

FESPA announces passing of Lascelle Barrow O


n Friday, May 23, FESPA announced the death of honorary board member and past president Lascelle Barrow.


Known as Las, he passed away on May 22 at the age of 79 after a prolonged illness.


Lascelle Barrow has passed away at the age of 79


Mr Barrow served as president of FESPA from 1992 to 1996, and from 2013 to 2015. His contributions were recognised when he was made an honorary board member in 2022. Over the past three decades, Mr Barrow helped reshape FESPA and was instrumental in its growth. His understanding of the future potential of digital wide format production helped to launch the FESPA Digital event in 2006. Mr Barrow was also a long-standing director of the FESPA UK Association. FESPA CEO, Neil Felton, said: “With Las’s passing, we say ‘farewell’ to

This appointment aligns with the company’s continued focus on innovation and business growth. Mr Regue succeeds Michael Boyle who has taken a new role as senior vice president, managing director, Central and Eastern European market.
