What’s having the greatest impact on your business at the moment? We are transitioning through rapid growth which we have facilitated through investment and extended shift patterns, which brings with it the challenge from increased energy costs in a volatile market, and sourcing skilled staff to support the shift patterns, day-to-day administration and production.


Where do you see the greatest wide- format opportunities? CP Arts does not see itself as solely a large-format printer - with the detail and quality of our digital print we can adapt and facilitate a wide range of substrates and printed solutions from a small wobbler to a large billboard. This flexibility has been a real game changer in the way we are able to support both existing and new clients. The flexibility we are able to offer through digital media is vast. This is now also incorporating permanent point of sale solutions from design to production.

What would make your day-to-day operations easier?


Witnessing the impact that the upgraded Agfa Tauro has already brought to the business in terms of production output


and print quality. We are looking to further invest in a second print line to support current production requirements and further develop our offering into new sectors.


Your favourite bit of kit is…? Without doubt our Kongsberg cutting lines. They run non-stop and enable us to support an extremely wide range of media and ensure we can deliver a rapid response to our clients requirements cutting both flat sheets and on a roll.


What’s the best bit of business advice you’ve been given?


Listen to your clients and deliver what they need, not what you think they need! Be flexible and open minded in your offering.


What are you most proud of achieving? Remaining a competitive force in such a volatile sector and working with some amazing clients!


What lesson does the wide-format sector need to learn?


I cannot speak for other businesses but, for us, flexibility and development into new areas is key to driving forward and remaining a competitive force in a challenging sector.
